Any other big name center not named Dwight Howard would have probably not passed it back to Harden into a double team. Shows Howards lack of B-ball IQ even after 11 seasons in the league.

That's what I keep thinking. Adelman would have. Van Gundy would have, in my opinion. That's not to say I don't understand what McHale was thinking by not doing it. I just wish he had.

You must call a timeout when its the LAST Game clinching play. If it were any other time then you let Harden run it.

He might have made it, but Jones is never "money". I think he would have had a better chance of either straight up missing the layup or getting blocked.....Jones is awesome at getting his shot blocked.

sometimes, I think it was fine when we got the rebound and went, but once Harden passed it to Howard, McHale should have been SCREAMING time out.

To be fair, it's hard not to pass it back to him.

Would you want to be the guy who passed it to a wide open (player not named Harden) and live with that player's shot? Or would you want to be the guy who passed it to your best player who, at that point in time, had 38 points on really efficient shooting?

Plus, Howard didn't exactly have a full shot clock to work with - I think he was expecting that, after passing the ball to James, there was at least enough time to set a screen and get Harden open for a decent shot attempt.

Probably thought we could have caught them slipping.

He was probably thinking they could get a better shot at scoring in transition.
