too bad Bynum isnt there, kind of diminishes the celtics victory. The lakers sure could have used him inside.
I'll eat my own crow. I picked the Lakers to win and thought they could have...but then I overestimated their defense..as in I thought they had something resembling defense. Hats off to Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Big props to Sam I Am for getting another ring.
Celtics' three old stars are really complementary to one another. The Rockets got to find the third STAR in this offseason!
good job paul pierce. throw it out of bounds like an idiot. throw yourself in boston habor next please.
Come on, the team that actually WON it , 3 times in a row. Or this very good team for this particular year. Gasol+Odom+anyone else for Shaq in his prime is an easy trade to make.
Just a little hyperbole on my part in reference to Cassell. A more serious matter, however, was the odds on the Celtics to win the titile before the season began. When the news was broken by the media that Boston was getting KG (before it was made official) the odds on bodog.com were something like 84/1. I was going to put a $100 on the Celtics, but didn't get around to it until the next day. By that time, bodog had frozen all nba futures bets until they redid the odds. It's haunted me the entire season.
At least the "Kobe is the next Jordan" talk will quiet down now. Kobe shoots 40% from the floor for the series, and his team gets blown out in an elimination game. Kobe is truly a great player, but just not on the Jordan level. And for anyone who wanted to criticize McGrady for his playoff performance, look at Kobe's performance in this finals. TMac did more with less around him against the Jazz.
FIVE more points until a 41 point lead. Come on Boston you can do it! Take the Rockets out of their Game 7 misery!
