Watching punks like KG and Pierce celebrate is still better than watching rapist like Kobe and those kobe wankers celebrate!

ZERO ring won by kobe after shaq left! :D

"Anything is possible" is almost like "Impossible is nothing"... isn't that slogan for Addidas?

Congrats to the Celtics -- obviously the best team from start to finish this season.

I was worried about Boston after blowing a golden opportunity to close it out in Game 5, but the moral of the story is to never underestimate the mental weakness of Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. They were the catalysts in Game 5, but when the series shifted back to Boston and a hostile environment, they folded in a big way. That was the ballgame. Completely undependable, and the Lakers need Bynum next season to really bring a tougher mindset inside.

I hate to see an overhauled team win a championship. But that's the reality of NBA right now, especially EC. Heat's kind of did it in 2006 (2005, Both Shaq and Wade were injured in the ECF). And this season is the Celtics.

Most of the time, an overhauled team wont last for more than 2 seasons because of the ages of the players they acquired.

But well, congrats to the Celtics, KG, PP, and Ray Allen. They just showed they want it more, from loose balls to hustle plays.

The Lakers looked like they were stunned on the court from time to time. Less energy, less hustles, less physicalities. Their poor defense wont carry them too far. But their young legs beated down the old Spurs. Too bad.

I think the Lakers will trade Lamar Odom. Odom is very disappointing. Does Odom even know how to protect the ball when he's driving to the basket? Odom got his freaking ball stripped half of the time when driving. WTF!

"I---I still cannot believe that we have the won the championship."

I really liked Dream's reaction after the 2nd one- he was just really happy for Clyde, as we all were.

So the legacy of the Houston Rockets continues- they say in Boston it's been a 22-year wait for a championship, but the Rockets and its former players have also ensured that a Rockets presence has existed throughout the past 22 years:

1986- the Houston Rockets pull off one of the huge upsets in NBA history, defeating the defending champion Lakers to make it to the NBA Finals.

1987-1992- Houston gets pushed aside a bit in the scheme of all things NBA, but the seeds are being planted for one of the more incredible playoff teams in NBA history.

1993-1995- This is it- the shining moment- an incredible 7-game series that we should have won had the referees made the correct Robinson call, 2 championships, a league MVP, Clyde returning home, some of the most frequently-watched highlights in NBA playoff history, etc. Magical.

1996-1998- The Rockets come within 2 wins of another Finals appearance, and while they will slowly decline, some of the former Rockets' champions will reemerge in different capes to keep the Rockets spirit alive:

1999- Mario Elie plays a critical role as the emotional leader of the 1999 Champion Spurs

2000-2002- Robert Horry is the epitome of Clutch as the Lakers win back-to-back-to-back.

2005-2007- Robert Horry continues to be the spirit of all Rockets championships in helping the Spurs win 2 championships.

2006- James Posey, although not a champion Rocket- is infected enough with the Rockets championship spirit that it carries over to the Miami Heat.

2008- Sam Cassell ensures that the Houston Rockets Championship Spectre still hangs over the NBA title as he helps the Celtics win it all.

You can take your Kobes and Shaqs and Duncans and Jordans and Bulls and Lakers and Spurs and Pistons and all that. The one common factor, the undeniable truth, the lasting presence is that of the Houston Rockets.

The Houston Rockets are the NBA, and every team owes some degree of gratitude to our organization for the spirit and influence we have contributed towards the champions of the past and the present.

its the post of the Year!

No one will remember that Sam didn't have a spectacular post season. but they will remember he played well in critical spots vs the Cavs/Hawks/Lakers. He gave us old Rocket fans something to cheer about. Faking out Farmar, tossing that sissy Vujacic down.

But what will history say? History will say what you stated. that Rockets team that won back-to-back titles had one of the greatest players ever with some of the greatest winners of all time. Horry, Cassell, Mario Elie. How did these guys do without the Dream? they helped win championships.

Ask a Laker fan, who's more beloved? Robert Horry or Lamar Odom? Odom is more talented (not more athletic (young Horry was awesome)). But Horry was loved cause he stepped up in the playoffs, defensively and offensively.

Ask a Bucks/Wolves/Clippers fan, who's their best PG in the last decade?
that is really easy. And hey, Sam was so happy for Rondo and his friends KG, Jesus. That guy just loves the game, the passion of Sam never dies.

Elie? the Spurs were know as soft, even with Duncan. But when Elie came along, that team gelled and won its first title.

Hey, you can even go all the way back to 1978 and 1983. What happens when the Big E goes from the Rockets to the Bullets? Championship. What happens when Moses Malone goes from the Rockets to the 76ers? Championship. Who was the championship coach Pat Riley drafted by? Houston Rockets. And you can't say that for every team. Does not apply to the 76ers, Knicks, Pacers, Suns, Warriors, Trailblazers, Sonics, Jazz, Hawks, Cavaliers, or multiple other teams. The Rockets' spirit and tradition of excellence, while not always manifesting itself in our team, has played a key role in numerous championship runs.

After that SHAMEFUL loss, I think every player on the Lakers roster should have to write a letter of apology to Kareem, Magic, the Logo and all of the other surviving Lakers greats who played their hearts out against the Celtics.
