Fox has really worn my patience thin. All the aforementioned shows (Andy Richter, Family Guy, Firefly, Fastlane and John Doe [I liked it VS!]) were among my favorites at the time of their airing, and where are they now? If you said "kicked off to make time for more bad reality shows," you win! (And before you ask, the prize is nothing.)

Now they've apparently taken off Keen Eddie for that pile of tripe that is "The O.C.". Like I care what a bunch of spoiled brats and a "misunderstood" juvenile deliquent are doing in California? My desire to watch Fox TV is nil.

Note to self: actually proofread one's own posts before hitting submit..;)

Agreed...Fastlane, was there actually a reason for this show other than showing hot women(not that there is anything wrong with hot women) and fast cars? but...the show itself sucked...

John Doe actually wasnt as bad as Fastlane or OC or a steady diet of reality shows that Fox loves to show...but it did not deserve to stay on when other more worthy shows could have been in the lineup.

oh yeah...thanks for reminding me Sonny...I liked The Critic too....at least I can see that late night on Comedy Central.

well..I believe that we have reached a consensus....

    Fox Sucks!

I had no idea that was the final episode. It was a good episode though. Glad I watched it.

I haven't seen Futurama on Cartoon Network lately. I wish TBS would show a different episode of Family Guy than the previous night on Cartoon Network. Futurama sucks on Mun2. It's like watching The Simpsons in SAP.

from what I have read at the Adult Swim forums, Futurama is only temporarily off the air. It will be returning when they start their new season in the next couple of weeks.

I wish they would hurry, those Home Movie shows are absolute crap.

btw, any anime fans checked out the weird one that comes on after FG?
I watched it a few times cause I was too busy working out my DVD decoding issues to change the channel...it is actually pretty good...

I went to check the schedule to read up on those anime shows. I haven't been watching adult swim lately, but my friends who are big anime fans were telling me that both shows were pretty cool. Also, it looks like Futurama is back on tonight with the episode where they find the lost city of Atlanta underwater. Good episode for Zoidberg jokes.

First of all, you guys bashing Home Movies suck. I love it! It's got a subtle off the wall humor that is great! One of those few shows that still gets me laughing during it!

And the show you talkin 'bout after Family Guy is FLCL I think... they call it Fooly Cooly on the Adult Swim webpage. I loved it when I saw it, it was really cool, it really feels like a manga/comic book animated more than anything I've seen before, like its come to life right off the pages. Definetly gotta be willing to be understanding of some of the "weird" Japanese Culture things or else you'll be one of those people that would just label it as stupid and move on (see: my girlfriend... -_-).

Fox also had American High. I found it on PBS. That show was pretty damn good. A good reality tv show for once.

go back and check...I said I liked it.

Unfortunately, if you havent seen it before now..youwouldnt understand what's going on. It is only 6 eps long, and I think Ep 5 is tonight. (or is it 6?)

Anyway...according to AS, they will be replaying it soon. I would advise catching it if you are into anime.

    and Home Movies still suck...:p
especially considering they took off Futurama to show it.

Oops, yeah I guess what I said was misleading, I wasn't implying that you thought it was stupid, I saw ya liked it the first time I read through! I just meant that many people aren't open to things like that, ethnocentric if you will, as this is one of those anime that is incredibly thick with Japanese humor/style.
I'm a huge anime fan and knew I had to check out FLCL. I have to give anything a chance from the people who gave me Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gainax . ;)

I like Home Movies. Coach McGuirk is a riot.

"Well, fighting is bad to begin with, right? So if you're going to fight, you're already wrong. I mean, you're already at the party, so why not fight dirty?"

Coach: "How come you never carried me off the field?"
Brendon: "We tried, but you were too big"
    Coach: "What?"
Brendon: "I mean...you were too drunk"
Coach: "Yes. Yes I was. And I'll tell you something, Brendon, I am everyday. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't carry me off the field."

FOX is a joke now. They cancel good shows like the ones mentioned in this thread, and others like VR-5, Strange Luck, and two of my personal favorites BrimStone and Sliders. Yet they want to give full backing to bad shows like The Street and these reality shows. And Fastlane, that show is awesome, and it was cancelled!? Dark Angel was awesome, was getting critical acclaim, and out of the blue they cancel it. That's why they'll never get any respect. The stupid thing abut FOX is that I heard somewhere that Cheers was one of the worst rated shows on television its first 3 to 5 years. You have to give these shows time, especially when they're developing a following like Family Guy, Futurama, Sliders and Dark Angel did.

    RocksMil..

Great call on VR-5, I almost forgot about that one...Lori Singer...

and are you referring to Strange Game with Christopher Lloyd?

another in a long line of quirky shows I loved and got cancelled..
I swear, if it wasnt for Simpsons...I'd dump them bastards:(

Unfortunately, even the Simpsons is getting stale. They should have kept backing for ALL of the shows that you've mentioned in this thread, and not tried to go off into Temptation Island 3 or whatever the hell it's called, and OC and all these shows that don't compare to Family Guy or Futurama or Dark Angel, etc etc. FOX is no good. NO MORE AMERICAN IDOL EITHER! PLEASE!!!

Yeah, unfortunately, as much as I love and adore The Simpons, it really has lost its spark... like the writers just don't quite have it anymore and are trying too hard.

I still watch it every chance I get, hoping for a gem that will get me laughin' again, but as of late, it's just not there...

I think the Simpsons really hit it's peak at the Christmas "Snow Day" episode where the kids get trapped in the school.

I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.

After that it was all down hill.

I wonder what it would take to get family guy back on the air.

Well, with Groening probably focused on just the Simpsons, it should get better.
