Yes, it's the Gold and Silver Pawn shop in between the Strip and Downtown. http://maps.google.com/maps?client=...ocal_result&ct=image&resnum=2&ved=0CBoQnwIwAQ The best way to get there is by taking the Deuce or the Ace bus. It's a dump imo, but I had a friend who loves the show visit me during the summer so we went there. He got to take pictures with the Old Man. I've seen a few episodes since then...kinda fun. It's not a big store and it's always full of tourists. Occasionally, then will kick everyone outside for filming. I've been told that the earlier you go in the morning, the more likely you are to meet the show cast.
Just curious, but does anyone go to Lake Las Vegas? From what I read, they closed down the Ritz Carlton there.
If you're a fan of buffets, then you can buy a 24 hour pass for $45 pass to eat at a combination of 7 buffets. Its a good deal considering it cost $30 to eat at one of these buffets alone. It covered the buffet at Paris, Caesars, planet hollywood and few others.
No freaking way? My girlfriend and I are going March 17-20 and looking for the best deal. We have been looking through the Aria website and it comes out to be $1000 PER PERSON! Aria is my first choice to stay and if that is too expensive then Treasure Island. Thursday night im planning on doing the Gondola thing at that Venitian and dinner. Friday night go do the club scene Saturday night see the show Zumanity. First time in Vegas since turning 21, hopefully it is fun.
here's a review. i don't recommend this place, not even to tmac fans. http://www.vegastripping.com/features/feature.php?feature_id=159&page=1
thanks tinman...counting that hotel out. how about MGM Grand hotel? continental airlines has $612 per person for 3 nights at this hotel plus flights.
have you tried the MGM? I stay there all the time, there's access to the monorail and the restaurants, pool area are pretty good for the price. also cheapest cab ride from the airport.
i just asked you that hehe...i think its a good deal. hopefully that will fly with other couples. i'm tired of looking. i just want to book already and get over with it!
this link may help someone looking for a good Vegas flight + hotel package http://www.southwestvacations.com/specials/FS0716.asp
ok looks like i will push for MGM Grand if you vouch for it, tinman! it looks like you go there often.
Tropicana is a great deal. All of the rooms are remodeled and they are still doing some remodeling in other parts of the hotel. The walk from the new tower to get to the strip or the parking lot is kind of long, but it's a good value. If you're going to stay at the South end of the Strip, you can't beat the Tropicana. Cosmopolitan is really nice. It's a very good value if you want to stay at a first tier (Wynn, Bellagio, etc) hotel. If I'm not mistaken, every room also has a kitchenette and washer/dryer.
MGM Grand is very familiar to me because my condo at the Sig is connected to it. It's a gigantic property and I love it, but to be honest, the standard rooms are a bit dated. You're package rate is fair, but it's not outstanding bang for your buck, but since it's in your price range, it should be okay. The property has great pools, and a party pool too, and attracts a very diverse crowd from all ages and all over the world. The Lions are worth a look, and the restaurants are diverse and good. I recommend upgrading to the Signature because a it's just worth it. A Junior Suite for that weekend is $563 for 3 nights from the hotel and Southwest has the 1st-4th of July 3night flight for $700 for 2. I'm gonna check so see if my fam has ours reserved yet. I might be able to beat that price. Hell, there are a lot of owners on vrbo.com that'd rent theirs, but that's more research, and I know you want to just get it booked. I just hate missing out on value. It's a good deal you found for MGM + flight, but it's nothing spectacular and will not change over the next month. If anything, more deals will be out there over the next few months. But it's completely understandable that you just want to get something booked asap. This was my view from my condo...it was a pretty nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzIY0zAnRrk
well did stay at Aria the last two times and I really enjoyed it. if you don't go often, you might as well splurge to stay at a nicer property. i'm staying at mgm this week cause it's an expensive week to be in vegas. kim is right, the regular rooms are dated (Crt tvs etc) the rooms at mirage/mandalay/aria/bellagio are better, but the casino action at mgm has always been solid.
Southwest Airlines RT for 2 $700 (Depart Friday July 1, Return Monday July 4) PH Westgate Towers 1 BR Suite 30% promotion 3 nights total $516.66 includes taxes and no extra fees https://www.harrahs.com/MakeReserva...ons&propCode=PHV&rd=PHV_Promo_Homepage_708x66 Promo says valid for bookings through 3/03, but July 4th weekend works on the system now. It's a baller room. Nice views, full kitchen, jacuzzi in the bedroom, full living room, and drop down projection tv. Everything is 1 year new. http://www.phtowers.com/accommodations/one_bed.asp Good location too: connected to Planet Hollywood Casino, across from Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, and Aria, 10 minute walk to MGM, next to Paris...it's good. video found random on youtube of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rljTgkdS9Ug&feature=related
oh that is pretty sweet!! the promo also applies to planet hollywood too. apparently PH Towers does not have a casino, right? looks like they're close to the action. i found a deal for $377 for a room at PH Towers. that is pretty good deal! i just got to find out if they want to stay at a hotel that has a casino. I also found a deal at Planet hollywood for $424. i don't care for any extra amentines as long we get to sleep and get ready. I found a better deal with Continental for the flights. thanks a ton for helping out. it is greatly appreciated!
Earlier in the thread you said Harrah's was 5th tier. Does that mean low quality? If so, why would you recommend this promotion to stay with them?
