The casinos were all at about 60 degrees last week. The wife had to wear a sweater at the Paris. They want to keep you comfortable so you'll hang around and spend money.
First two days we're spending at The Westin Lake Las Vegas where we were married and then The Venetian on the Strip for the last two nights.
That is such an accurate description of me right now it's not even funny. Where is Absinthe? Is that the one outside of Caesars?
Cool, we may check it out. This is the first time I'm going where gambling is literally the last thing on my mind with regards to entertainment. Well, except for NFL/NCAA. We've already planned 95% of our meals...we're kinda excited.
We also ate at Sushisamba which is right by the Palazzo and it was the best place we ate at in Vegas.
If you are a thrill seeker then go jump off the Stratosphere! My wife jumped...I said screw that <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/X-hKdgu_BZE?list=UUcyP0rIvk5J849jVQIec8YA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah that's in the running. 48 hours, we'll be picking up our rent car! Any advice on hiking? We're going to hit Red Rock Friday morning I think before heading out to Lake Las Vegas.
Bring water. Still pretty warm...although this weekend looks to be pretty comfortable... mid 90s...although Sunday might have some showers. If you want a pretty nice drive-and-hike type event...try The Valley Of Fire. I thought that area was more dramatic and had more to look at than Red Rock. Although Red Rock is so close...which always makes it a more attractive destination...~15 minutes from the Strip.
We walked by and saw that it was in a tent, so we assumed it wouldn't be very good. When we got back, everyone told us it was the best show they'd ever seen. DAMMIT!
Seconded! I take my clients there every year for a thank you dinner at our annual conference, and it has always been excellent. Took the wifey there too our last time out to Vegas. Enjoy your weekend, RM95!!
