[Las Vegas Summer League] Rockets vs Raptors Tue July 13th 5:30pm

I've only watched one of these summer league games but I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from what happens here. Hill looked really good as a rookie with the real squad, I highly doubt he's regressed so it seems ridiculous to say he sucks. Landry was awful during summer league for comparisons sake.

 

Chase is not having any problems creating decent separation off the dribble...........off all things, its finishing, which is supposed to be his forte.

 

Hopefully JT is OK now.

 

THAT's the Jordan I'm used to seeing the past 4 years!

Strange... Budinger's shot is just off all week. Not all that concerned. Small sample size. Likely fluke.

Rosas had mentioned they are doing 2 a days along with league play.

Can someone validate this?

This would be a pretty good explanation as to the uneven level of play we have seen.

 

He went up STRONG and slammed it home.

 

I can't verify it but I did read another coach say they do a full practice going at each other before each game. And Morey we work are teams harder than anyone else. So 2 a days sounds harder to me.

 

He did have a nice 4th quarter.

 

I saw that that I. Smith guy had 9 assists. Did anyone watch his play closely. Is this guy capable of making an NBA rotation?

 

Decent court vision. Tiny + very quick and fast, looks like AB out there at imes, until he shoots it, then he looks like Carroll Dawson.

 

I'd really like to trade Jordan Hill and Taylor for a decent player. I just don't like the way either of these guys play. One looks lost out there and the other thinks he's the only guy playing.

 

Ish had a real good game. Made several great passes. He has great speed. The knock on him that I have seen is that he is not a good defender and he's undersized.

 

I also have been fairly impressed with his ability to finish in traffic.
