It's gonna be Ariza and Martin starting. Battier is on the decline. He's worthless offensively.

whats wrong with getting no more than 15 mins per game???

Did you forget we have a more than solid starter in Martin, who's easily going to get his 35 mins, at least? I'm not sure what more you want from a guy backing up martin than 15 mins of PT. Bell is not going to come in here and take the majority of minutes away from Martin. Not to mention bell is redundant with ariza and battier, as neither is good off the dribble and are all primarily defenders who can spot up. JT offers much better versatility offensively, which is fine alongside lowry or brooks.

So he officially lost the starting spot? As in, it's been confirmed by Morey or Adelman?

JT's got a special talent in that he can get to the basket and score or draw a foul. that's not easy to find in the league. he'll always have a place in the NBA if he can do that. but now that he's added a shot to his game! Morey said JT's ceiling is higher than Buds. He just needs to keep up the hard work and he can be something special.

    Small player analysis.

JT - player of the game, looked much better tonight even though he scored fewer points, played more in control and passed it fairly well.

Chase - Coasted the first 3 quarters, and his jumper has been absent...still led the team in rebounding and got the team going in the 4th when he would rebound and pass the ball up the court in a hurry to start fast break, I think he is playing more of a facilitator role this summer.

Hill - Has no go to offensive moves to speak of, needs to play on the move right now, and is probably limited to a weakside only player until he can hold his position on the block, there is no way he could play back up center this year.

Patterson - struggled on his shooting only 3-11 tonight, but rebounded better, and still played within himself.....solid if not spectacular night.

Ish Smith - Looks very good running the point, quick with the ball and smart passes, hit some decent jumpers but did have one Raferesque airball floater....could be a decent 3rd PG behind AB and lowry.

Maarty - Solid as ever, team is better with him on the floor.

Lewis - Looked nice made some good cuts, shots and decent passes to bigs.

Johnson - A man, he plays hard and with an attitude, no offensive moves, just bulls people over...

Another good game and Roddy for Dallas is amazing.

Well, I am assuming Martin starts at the 2 spot for games, and Ariza starts at the 3.

Seems we finished the season with that lineup and did pretty well. I could see Ariza making way for the 3 spot...but honestly I feel Shane's natural position is shooting guard and Ariza's is small forward. Also thought the whole point of getting Martin was to add another knockdown shooter with Yao on the floor...so he should start.

You have 4 options that I know of...

    A. Summer League Broadband: http://www.nba.com/summerleaguebroadband/?cid=nba245

They have archives of the games so you can watch at your convenience.

    B. I think R2K is creating torrents of some or all the SL games. Here is the one from the previous game: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=189644

If you have any question about torrents, read the FAQ and/or ask questions in those threads.

    C. Get NBA League Pass from your cable/satellite provider. All the games are broadcast on NBA TV. They also seem to have replays of all the games over night and into the next day before the next set of games so you have 2 chances to watch/record each game.

    D. Check sites like ATDHE.net for live streams.

oh i'm not disputing martin starting...he's definitely our starter at the 2....shane however, is naturally a 3, but has spent a long time defending 2s....im just not sure the rockets are preparing to bench him. I think it has a lot to do with how he comes back from injury...there is a possibility he may not come back well and give up his captain title as well as getting benched...but i dont think simply ending the season injured is enough to claim he'll be a back up this upcoming season.

Jordan Hill has been getting a lot of fouls. Can anyone say if they are the ticky-tack fouls or because the backcourt let opposing players drive too easily?

You have made some good points but Battier was coming off the bench even before the injury after Martin joined us. If Ariza improves his defense and shooting,he can become a regular starter at the 3.

He's just not a very good defensive C, and the Rockets are going to struggle big-time defensively if he's who they are relying on to backup Yao. He doesn't see plays develop, and so he doesn't get to spots on time. He doesn't seem to react very quickly. Just my impressions.

I think Shane coming off the bench for Ariza or Martin is just better for the team also. He can replace whoever is having a off night in Martin/Ariza and slide right in...while Ariza should be banned from playing Shooting guard unless there is athletic player he needs to guard. Shane has spent most of his career as a 2 thanks to McGrady and unless he has to guard B.Roy or Mayo... he usually does a great job of it.

I'm not saying Shane shouldn't start, I just think the way things shape out Ariza plays pretty well at 3, and I think his backup will be Chase and Shane will backup Martin.

This is all assumptions as we never know what Adelman is going to do and how he will have his rotations.
