If you’ve stayed or visited both I would like your feedback. I have offers to stay at either for free and although I’ve been to Vegas 3 times I’ve never took the time to walkthrough Bally’s. Vibe/Atmosphere would probably be #1 on my priority list and I don’t want to feel like I’m at a super dated hotel. The Linq seems like it has plenty amenities and the location is dead center but my first impression from the inside was that it didn’t necessarily feel like a Vegas Casino with the layout and oddly low ceilings. Idk I’m probably overthinking it but your suggestions are appreciated.
Bally's is nicer and across the street from Caesar's, Bellagio, and close enough to Cosmo/Aria. The epicenter of the strip has shifted over the last decade from the WynnEncore / Venetian area back down south because of Aria and Cosmo.
Yeah, hard to beat both locations tbh. The Linq has the promenade going for it which is a huge factor for us. Out of curiosity what makes Bally’s nicer to you?
I went with Linq because it's newer. Both are nice and in good locations though. I thought the epicenter has pretty much always been around the Bellagio. When was it as far north as the Wynn?
I'd go with Bally's, I've stayed at both but when Linq was Imperial Palace back in 2010. Linq has improved as far as the casino, more updated than it was before but hear the rooms are still a work in progress of being renovated. Bally's rooms/casino is great, but a pain if you have a rental car since the parking garage is so far away.
Linq. That area along with the Flamingo and Harris has a path to go through the hotels and connect. They included a bunch of small restaurants/bars/etc and usually a lively crowd at night.
Damn....the Link was called the Quad when I first went and they had stage performers on mini stages throughout the casino who would also deal card games when they weren't performing. If I recall correctly, it was Imperial Palace before it was the quad.. Since then it seems to have gone through quite a few renovations so I couldn't speak on the quality of the rooms. I don't know if they still do this, but the complimentary drinks were ordered through a server who would place the order on an ipad, and another server would quickly come out with the drinks. In addition, they have been developing the High Roller strip from what I've seen as well. I'd been staying more at Bally's lately because of it's more central location and decent comps. However, my last stay was at Luxor . Even though it's on the south end, the stay was mostly comped, and it's close to MGM and New York. I got another week there this summer for less than $200...4 days comped, 2 days reduced price, no resort fees. Kind of hard to pass that up.
Oh Imperial Palace how I hate thy. They had like what 3 elevators for the whole hotel and the lines/waits were ridiculous to get to your room. My personal preference is to stay in the Aria/Cosmo/Planet Hollywood/Ballys area of the strip. That area just seems more spaced out and don't feel as claustrophobic like other areas, especially when walking from one casino to another.
I stayed at Bally's for a conference last year, as it was the cheaper of Bally's and Paris at the time. Bally's was better in every way, though the check-in and checkout process was a pain. It's a great strategic location on the Strip, and you can always use the monorail if necessary. For parking near Bally's, I recommend the Westin, which is free. The walk back to Bally's is only 5-10 minutes.
The Linq has a newly rennovated sports betting/viewing area. Even if you aren’t staying there, it’s a fun place to watch a game. Rooms at Bally’s are decent for the price. Really can’t go wrong with either location; both are right in the middle of the strip.
They are both dumps, when the linq (two names ago) Imperial Palace I stayed there for 8 days on a massive budget ha I don't stay on the Vegas strip I usually stay in a house, downtown at the Nugget or at a non casino like Trump or Palms
Have they upgraded Bally's? The Linq use to be the crappy Imperial Palace, but now it's completely redone and new.
Bally's looked the same as of last year. A lot of the renovation to Bally's has been to the outside plaza.
An actual gif of my face from when I saw the thread to when I saw the options Spoiler i guess i'd take the linq
Haha I’m actually comped at all Caesars brand hotels (except nobu and Cromwell) but choosing from these 2 for reasons out of my control.
