Yeah I have. Loved the rooms at Aria and pool. Not too big of a fan of the gaming area they have but the location of Aria on the strip was a plus for me. Buffet was pretty good too at Aria. Not my fav buffet but I think it was worth the price. You're a little closer to the MGM end of the strip so it's a quite a walk to get to the Venetian/Wynn area but I would definitely stay at Aria again.
Hooters Casino? Really. I haven't been in about 20 years. Are the dealers Hooters girls too and maybe you can take advantage...
Good to know, thanks! We usually have stayed more on the north side of the strip in the past (TI, Paris, Venetian) so we haven't really gotten a chance to explore much further south than City Center. This will be a good chance to finally do that.
I love the Venetian/Palazzo, but yeah, the City Center area is great. You have Aria, Cosmo, Planet Hollywood, Caesars, etc. all in that area.
We were thinking about going to the Cosmopolitan for their March Madness deal. Anyone ever done that or have any other recommendations?
The Cosmopolitan is a great property. Very "posh" or whatever. Rooms are great. The gaming floor is ok, and a little on the small side, but it seems it's more focused on food, night life, lounges, etc.
Yeah its all about Posh, and glam. Pretty much any entrance to the hotel, casino, etc. takes you through high end jewelry dealers, high end fashion, etc. even though its not the most expensive place in the world to stay. Vegas is all about picking the environment you want to be in. There is something for everyone. I happen to like staying at a little more relax environments such as Mandalay. So tell me your personality and what you want to get out of Vegas, and I'll tell you where to stay. Bachelorette party, fancy clothes (even though Vegas is more casual than you think), and expensive Martinis... Cosmo is your place. The fact that you mentioned March Madness and are on a basketball/sports website right now probably tells me that you might want to stay somewhere else but that's just me.
It's a nice location. I've noticed some of the rooms have a strong bleach or chlorine smell to them the last few times I've visited. If you haven't been there for awhile check out SLS and Cromwell for craps.
I hate the Cosmopolitan's "theme". It looks like a place the Kardashian family would enjoy staying at. I used to like MGM a lot but last couple times I've stayed there, the crowd seemed to get more obnoxious. I would describe it as a Spring Break type of crowd who love to go to an EDM pool party then hit the clubs at night.
Can someone bump the latest Vegas travel thread for me please? I don't have the search option and don't wanna start another lame Vegas thread.
I like the tables, they have good dealers. It's not too far from the elevators from the room. they got good rollers.
Planning to go in June for a few days. Last few times I have gone have been last minute quite expensive deals. Is Expedia the way to go for flight + hotel?
