Trip recap. O was spectacular. The fried chicken at Yard Bird (Venetian) was as good as any I've ever eaten. The Kobe Rib Cap at Gordon Ramsay Steak (Paris) was the best thing I ate all week and one of the best steaks I've ever had. NYNY was a good place to stay in Vegas with a teen. Bachanal Buffet at Caesar's was OK but not worth the price. Freemont street was sketchy and dirty. Stratosphere was overrated. I miss the sound of coins hitting the slot trays now that everything is electronic. The Vegas green rush is on but while supplies at the dispensaries is very low they did have some edibles which worked out perfectly. Next time I won't take a teen and will probably stay at Caesars or Bellagio.
one other note: Sports book future odds much better off strip. At NYNY Rockets were 8-1 to win championship and Texans were 10-1 to win SuperBowl. At the Golden Nugget I got the Rockets at 20-1 to win the championship for $100 and Texans at 30-1 to win the SB for $50.
I'm going to put Gordon Ramsay on the list next time. I like the Cosmo and Aria buffet. They are cheaper than the Ceasar's and have a pretty unique selection. I also like NY NY. Super convenient location and great value. There's a Chinese restaurant there called Chin Chin which has a brunch buffet for $20 something with a good selection of food for a small buffet.
Heading back to Vegas next Sunday for the day. Anyone have any recommendations on where to watch the NFL slate of games at? Made a reservation at Legasses Stadium at The Palazzo for the early morning games but looking for another place to go for the afternoon and prime time games. TIA
Bump... Anyone been to Vegas for Super Bowl Weekend? Any tips / places to watch the game at besides the sportsbooks or is that my best bet?
Sorry for not being helpful but if people have opinions on March Madness weekend 1, I would like to hear about that too. Trying to decide between the two
I'll be there, too. I mean, Aria is solid, Encore is great, Cosmo is great. Just be careful, there's idiots out there. I'm hosting at the Mandarin for the SB. SIL
Awesome, yeah I talked to a rep at the Cosmo but they want a $600 min per table at the Race and Sportsbook. Looking at some alternative places now.
Try Aria's bar next to the gelato shop. You can do it $200 a seat, not as fun as Cosmo I think it's called Alibi. I've met up with folks there, not bad. Price wise, Vegas is atrocious. I'm pretty confident I'm coming. If I do, I have El Dorado cantina catering for us 10-12 or so. Im putting up my place with club access for $1000/night, min 3 nights. By Friday night if it's not booked, it's $1,250 a night. Then moving it up again Sunday afternoon...by end of next week if it's not rented I'm coming. I'll book SW so I can cancel of course and throw a horrible price the Wednesday before. Thing is food catering has become such a b****...can't watch without eating like a pig. Seriously, food has doubled in price almost. If it gets booked, I'll stay here in Denver and watch the SB maybe with a gym date. New here. I'm already thinking Monday will be a pain. SIL
Anyone ever stayed at the MGM Grand? Thinking about booking next month. We've stayed at TI, Paris, Aria and Venetian so far but we want to try someplace different.
its decent place to stay. not the worst and not the best. is there something specific you're looking for as far as hotel there?
