4.5 ypg and 900 yds in 12 games last season says otherwise.

His first bad season has been this year on a piece of **** team.

There is no way he is worse than Chris Brown or even Ryan moats.

Don't forget the 5 fumbles. And from my post on page 1:

Say Ryan Moats had another game like the Buffalo game against Oakland and St. Louis, then went for 3 ypc (or worse) in all of his other games. That's basically what LJ did last year. Inflated stats based on a few games in which the [bad] defenses had a lead. Kind of like garbage points in the NBA.

The Chiefs have been horrible for a few years now. I don;t think anyone expects him to come in a be a starter, but he can certainly be a #2/#3 running back.

From Schefter's twitter and I might add his guess are better then some people's so called acurate information.

Adam_Schefter My Larry Johnson landing-spot guesses: Houston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh. And I emphasize - guesses, not fact.

Cross the Texans off list. No Larry Johnson for the Texans according the Adam Schefter's twitter.

"And now we start eliminating LJ landing spots: No more Houston - Gary Kubiak's team sticking with its backs."

No real fascination...I just don't see how it could hurt to give him a shot. He either helps our running game or does nothing at all leaving us with what we already had with Slayton, Moats, and Brown.

The only way I see him hurting this team is if he comes in, beats on Shaub and breaks his arm.

Reading Kubiak's post practice quotes from today, I think they will pickup a running back. If not Larry Johnson, Chris Henry and Arian Foster could be brought up from practice squad and they could finally cut Chris Brown who stinks. I had high hopes for him after the preseason but he hasn't done nothing.

I'm glad no LJ, let him go be a d-bag somewhere else. The Texans definitely need to get someone other than Chris Brown though, the guy just doesn't impress me.

Not signing LJ will end up costing Kubes his job.

more fumbles, more getting stuffed at the 1 yard line, more of the same old tired good guy crap!

Since it was Kubiak's decision.

Go root for the Raiders or Cowboys if you're tired of the "same old good guy crap". What a joke. That would be a first- a head coach getting fired because he didn't "sign" a 2.7 ypc back that hasn't played well in 3 years.

I don't know why I'm even responding anymore. The idiocy in this thread is unbearable.

for one, everyone knows Kubiak gets the players he wants because Smith is just a puppet.

two: You just named two franchises that have accomplished DYNASTIES in the NFL. They took risks and some risks payed off with CHAMPIONSHIPS not 8-8 seasons.

sorry but I want WINNERS not Choir boys, I'm sure most here will agree with me.

Usually 30 is the barometer for just about any player to decline, especially in football, even QBs.

But, they are players who buck the trend and had some of their best seasons 30 and beyond. Especially, if a RB can play behind a decent line or a team with other weapons.

Thank you Mike Singletary  but yes I agree. If you think Johnson can help this team or is better than what you have, you sign him if you can. Hey, the last KC guy we piced up wasnt so bad afterall ;)
