I'm seriously shocked at the number of people in this thread who not only are willing to look the other way at Johnson's cancerous nature, but are basically just falling short of calling the Texans p*****s for not signing this doucheclown.

How many ****ing times does it have to be said- we offered Benson a contract. He chose to sign with Cincinatti to be the starter.

I'm sick of people and their misconceptions and generalizations about this team. It's like everyone gets their Texans info from listening to Rich Lord and the dumbass callers on 610.

And thats why Herman Edwards is currently unemployed in the NFL.

His logic was sound, but his practice was another thing.

T.O. is a prime example of what happens when a person with an inflated ego disrupts the chemistry of an offense.

He's crap and it is only fitting he returns to crap since he is from a great tradition of Penn State running back crapiness from Blair Thomas to Ki-jana Carter and Curtis Enis.

This guy has to be the most overrated back in history, he's injury prone, he's gonna be 30, he had two good years.

    What's the fuss?

    He's not Chris Brown.

    But he does hit women.

peshaw. he averaged 8.5 yards a catch yesterday - big deal. he came in averaging 12.7. i think clark's big day was more a component of what the texans took away from manning. a guy averaging 8.5 yards/catch is not going to beat you.

Call them extended hand-offs then, and tell me its not going to beat you.

I cant believe people rather keep Chris Brown then sign a back who is actually better then him and can help this team..

Beating woman (allegedly) has nothing to do with playing football neither does dog fighting or gay slurs. Come on Texans need depth at the RB position.

Dude, I was talking about last year before he even originally signed with the Bengals.

How about if we had the insight to offer a larger contract than the Bengals? I doubt he would have turned down a better offer just to secure a starting position.

No you're right about this. LJ would be an upgrade from Brown.

    Wow, You're right!

I mean if the Texans sign him, its like his character issues will all just dissolve right into a magical bucket of puss!

If you catch 14 passes and continuously keep drives going all day long, 8.5 yards/catch will certainly beat you. Doesn't really matter if you catch 1 pass for 17 yards or 2 for 8.5 yards a piece - you're still moving the chains. Wes Welker averages about 10 yards per catch and consistently wreaks havoc on opposing defenses.

He will be on a playoff contender. Trust me, this guy is no T.O.

He will be on his best behavior and we can get the most out of it. There are no better upgrades then LJ anyways. We have lost two games because of Chris Brown i think that is enough.

    Indeed.

They gave up the underneath and Clark just kept ripping off small chunks of yardage almost at will.

Call it whatever you want, you can't say Dallas Clark wasn't an effective part of the offense yesterday.

    What are you his agent?

This guy is a moron and usually the most forgiving fans are the fans of players on their team. They are willing to overlook the little "things" as long as they see some results on the field.

Johnson was consistently a distraction always whining about his contract, and its no coincidence his career essentially tanked when Willie Roaf, Will Shields, et al hung up their cleats.

If we win then there is no issue. When there is an opportunity to win, you take it. You don't pass it up because of gay slurs and off the field judgements. He will be focused on his second chance and wanting to get back into the playoffs. I dont see how your objecting to a chance to better the team.
