MORE EVIDENCE. Since Rudy announced his stepping down..................EVERYONE IS GOING CRAZY. Larry Brown says he didn't know he would resign UNTIL THIS WEEKEND...hmm...... He wouldn't have resigned this early when the playoffs are still going on. HE RESIGNED TODAY THIS EARLY BECAUSE HE WANTS TO COACH US!!!!! He wants it more than Jeff Van Gundy or Paul Silas or Mike Dunleavy or Pat Riley or KENNY SMITH! Fine.....I'm just inferring. But this is MUY MUCHO INTERESANTE!
ha ha, ok so dr. jack ramsey says, "I would be shocked to see Brown reappear in the NBA next season"... hmmm. expect brown to take a break i dont really believe ol' doc ramsey, but i guess its noteworthy. EDIT: just saw your thread SLA, sorry for the redundancy.
Well, I still think that the Rockets will only make some changes like adding vet. and role players... And who better to do that than Larry Brown...
ALSO. Someone better ask him. Brown said he would have become the coach of North Carolina if some Tarheel president or whoever asked him to. Leslie Alexander..go personally call him and ask him to become coach! No agents or crap! Give him a call! And Francis and Yao need to go on national TV and tell him to come! I wonder what they think of him...
If LB has a choice of either Houston or Cleveland, he will pick Houston. Young team, untapped potential, new arena, new uniforms, new beginnings...it's all there for him. Yes, CLE has half of all that, but all they have is Lebron. Unless james as a rook performs like Jordan in his prime, the Cavs won't even sniff the playoff race. It's all here, Larry. We want you!
Larry Brown (left), with Ed Snider, announced on Monday that he is stepping down as 76ers head coach.
Yeah, Midweek....yeah they certainly fast tracked this press conference didn't they? Perhaps there was a reason?
Several media places speculated that the Rockets were not ready to announce the Rudy T. resignation until after the holiday weekend but that because the story made it to the broadcast media, they were forced to make an announcement last week. Brown wasn't supposed to do anything until mid-week this week - some had said as late as Thursday or Friday - and then he decides to announce his RESIGNATION on MEMORIAL DAY! Holidays are notoriously bad news days because so many reporters are not working, so the fact he did it today indicates he needed to make a fairly speedy decision. Timing is everything.
Well anyways! I was trying to find other fans of other teams' reactions. I couldn't find any decent Philadelphia 76ers or Cleveland Cavaliers message board or forum!
Can someone explain the me the ridiculous fascination with online polls? Do you really think Larry Brown will base his decision on that?
All this sounds too good to be true. Something tells me that Les Alexander and Larry Brown had something going than they are letting on. I know everybody is thinking about it now and the NBA may possibly look into any form of "infringement". RudyT resigns - Larry Brown quick makes up his mind and announces his resignation from the 76ers a few days later. Hmmmm.........
Don't think like that!!! Think POSITIVE! Anyways......well Rudy retired. And Larry...well how do you know he talked with Rockets people? What if Larry himself.....who is a genius......thought....WOW! WHAT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY! I AM GOING TO QUIT TO JOIN THEM! And Jeff Van Gundy was supposedly about to agree with Cleveland...but Rudy steps down.....and he has NO COMMENT and denies everything for a while. Anyways......I'm not even sure Larry Brown will be the head coach of the Houston Rockets next season. I just hope!
