i dont have the cd that came with it. Thanks for the help guys but its a little over my head like i said i dont wanna mess anything up! geek squad cant be that bad... or might yall suggest something else?
don't ask them, trust me, they'll eff up (i use to be a Geek). Plus, they can't work on your PC unless you have the XP cd. They might (emphasis on might) work on it if you have your CD key on the bottom of the laptop, chances are tho, if there's a "designed for Vista" sticker, your key is a Vista key and they won't be able to reinstall XP for you... If it is an HP or Gateway one of your partitions should be a recovery partition with recovery console.... Keep us informed of what happens man, best wishes.
