You posted this message before the Detroit game. TMO must have read it cause he proved you dead wrong. Langhi better start showing something soon or he'll be gone. He might be worth only 10 cents at a flea market ( ) But if it takes 10 years to get a return, he is costing a lot by taking up a roster spot with somebody who can produce sooner. -krosfyah
It is frustrating but Langhi somehow just seems to be less than the sum of the parts. You hate to give up on him since at times he looks like he has tremendous potential. Can anybody provide more insight? In a way he reminds me of Cato even though his attitude and work ethic are very different. They both always seems awkward despite their excellent jumping and running ability. Is it just that Langhi's lateral quickness, cutting ability and overall agility and balance limit him? He was a 4 year player in college. He shoudn't look so lost most of the time except for some occasional hot shooting. Maybe it's just an example of a low "basketball IQ". I don't know
He looked good in the summer games. Let's see if it carries over. I'd say he's got until December to show us what he can do...
hell, i would keep ike before i would stick with langhi. he needs about 20 more pounds and a shot that goes in during gametime. ****, kato has more upside.
I think there's a large upside to Langhi because of his versatility and size but everyone calls him a shooter and I have yet to see him hit shots consistently.
He played well in the summer league...at least towards the beginning, but then he kind of fell off. Was there a reason for that? Did he surprise people in the first couple of games and then people were paying more attention to him?
Dan is one of Rudy's boys. That's why he spent some time playing point forward this summer. Rudy is probably trying to find any way of justifying keeping Dan on the active roster. I'm sure he will get the go ahead at the start of the season, but if he doesn't produce quickly, I'm sure he'll get one of those infamous lower back strains.
What ever happened to Steve Langhi? I haven't heard anything from him since Dan was drafted. Steve, if you're around, we'd all love an update on how Dan is doing, how he feels about his place on the team, and whatnot. If Dan can have any impact on the floor this year, I'm in favor of keeping him for as long as it takes for him to break out. And I'm sure he will. I don't know if he'd necessarily start over the long-term, but I definitely think he could make a kick-ass sixth-man a la Cuttino the season before last.
I agree with B on Langhi. Dan spraining his ankle is really hurting his chances of making the team, IMO. Also with the play of Torres and Damon Jones, I also believe that it will be hard for Rudy to cut them. Most likely scenario is that Langhi will be placed on the IR.
