Point is, Rice takes the 3-point shots, and can do other things better than Walt. So we don't NEED Walt. not that he sucks. This has nothing to do with him playing bad either (at least on my part). It's just that we would be better off giving T-Mo some playing time. He's a 3-point shooter, one year left on his contract, $5M cap relief next year. i think we'd find takers right? Maybe the Heat? Knicks?(cap relief) I just think we'd be better off splitting the back-up minutes between T-MO, EG (very little), and Torres.
I've wanted Walt gone for about 2.5 years now. ZRB-Walt usually receives the ball on the perimeter, and then uses his lethargic speed to attempt to get closer, after clunking a couple off the rim. Griffin on the other hand either doesn't get the ball when he's down low (I spent a good amount of time yelling at Moochie on the TV to give it to Griff in the post), and is mostly on the outside seemingly by design. I would not be surprised if he's moved around the deadline.
