Didnt they say the samething about his knee last year? That it wasnt serious, and he ended up sitting for 2 and half weeks or so?
Mandry being out could be a blessing for the Rockets, as Hayes will get more time on the court to help shut Queen James down.
Man his ankle must have been destroyed. I think the reason it did not look bad was because he pulled it up so fast.
Its not bad until chuck hayes checks in the game and its one of his bad nights, and he shoots his patented, no look, turn around hook shot that barely skims the front of the rim.. THen you grab your hair, and kick over your beer on accident, and just when you can't take it anymore, the camera man points out landry on the bench in a 3piece suit, looking like he's not injured, and you wonder why is chuck hayes in the game. You start yelling for scola, but he's tired as hell
i think the rockets are just being super cautious with landry...ron had a worse ankle injury and try to keep playing and did not let it heal completely. of course the team wishes landry was there but i would rather give Carl an extra game or two off rather than rushing him back, this team needs him in the playoffs. hopefully if he is good to go he can come in to help otherwise i figure he will play sat at chicago
This is why I get so upset with the Rockets medical staff. Bill Worrell said on Sunday that Landry would be back for the next game, Rockets just being cautious holding him out of the Charlotte game. Why are the Rockets always wrong or deceiving the public when it comes to these medical diagnosis? Maybe we shouldn't be so hard on T-Mac.
You don't want to rush Landry back. I think last year we rushed him back too early from his injury and he wasn't nearly as effective in the playoffs as he was in the regular season. Don't want that to happen again.
Is it just me, or does this seem to ALWAYS happen with this team? Injuries ALWAYS end up being worse/costing more time than we are originally told they will. At first we were told that Landry wasn't expected to miss a single game. WTF, man? I thought it was just scapegoating before, but I'm genuinely starting to think our med staff sucks ass.
