"Our PF will more likely come through trade, not from the draft" Rockets GM said

I think everyone should understand this. You don't want to blow up your 2nd rounders and then have them be a bust. The only reason I expect more from him is because I've watched him play almost every game at Purdue and I know he's a really good player. I'm hopeful that it translates to the NBA.

If it comes down to Novak or Landry for the last roster spot, I'd keep Novak, because Novak has a special skill that we need. Compared to the 1994 championship roster - I'd rather have Bullard than Petruska.

Hey you're entitled to your opinion but personally, I'd rather have Harris and Landry and get rid of Novak.

He had some amazing passes to cutting guards a couple times. I was impressed when I saw them and knew why the Rockets drafted him after seeing those passes. He got hacked several times during the games so I think it kind of ruined his offensive rhythm because every time he went up for a shot he would be hacked or was expected to get hacked. It was good to see him get to the line a lot and convert his free throws nicely.

We will see what the coaches think about Landry soon enough. I watched Landry enough to believe he can be a good PF for the rockets.

I he reminds me of a slightly softer Kenny Thomas with a bit more height, a bit more athleticism, and a bit less rebounding.

To keep Landry you will have to cut Novak, we can keep Novak and still reserve the right to Landry right? Plus, when you have Harris + Hayes, Landry is not an immediate need at least for this coming season.

Head is our 3 pt specialist right now... we dont need another 3 pt specialist with no defensive game (ie Novak)

Unless Novak starts using his height to grab rebounds and get some easy buckets in the paint (and/or start attempt dunks in actual NBA games against real centers just because its really amusing), I'd rather keep Landry

Landry will definetly be on the roster, his mid-range shot will spread the floor and his ability to attack the basket will help alot. I think he will flourish when surrounded by veterans. He was a good pick in a very deep draft.

Why do we need to cut Landry or Novak for one or the other?
From what we have read, The coaches love Novak and Landry. Landry is Morey's man.

You can send someone like Harris or Novak to the D league I think.

It isn't that hard. Chop or trade Newley, Reed, Sura, Big Jake and JL3 to reach 15.
