Scola is better. But Scola makes a much stronger impact when he is the 1st or 2nd option. Like in the Olympics. He should start, but also find a way for him to play heavy minutes with the bench guys, he can lead that unit.

Scola can create for himself, Landry needs others to create for him. Scola is a better defender too.

    So no.

i don't necessarily think this is completely true. i think Landry could create for himself if he has to, but with our level of talent he doesn't. and to be honest Scola hasn't done a very good job scoring so far but it'll come

If Landry learn to take charges....he WILL START!!! That is one big reason Scola start over him...because Scola is relentless and will take charges and play defense a bit better. Everything else Landry does, he does better than Scola EXCEPT the little things that don't get to show up on stats. That's why Scola start. Also Scola IQ is much higher than Landry...

Carl Landry have 2 mediocre games and one pretty good game and now he is maybe the starter. Scola have 1 great game and 2 solid games vs starring lineups and he need to go to the bench?

No way....., Yao-Scola's pair in low post has never lost until now (13? or 19?). Wait until Battier coming back, the Rockets totally lock the defense.

Landry's energy and ability to make explosive plays will have a greater impact and benefit to the team coming off the bench. Scola remains the starter.

Everything is fine as is, the only thing I would consider changing in rotation is the pg position, in the event we picked up another pg.

Actually Landry takes charges too, just not as many as Scola. Landry is also every bit as smart as Scola, if not smarter. In fact, Scola often goes out of his way to make baskets difficult. Against bigger PFs, Scola is a better defender. Scola has a post game, has better handles and is a better passer. Landry's jumper is solid while Scola's is shaky.

Why mess up something that is working well.

Lets do this next game. After a 3-0 start and last season's success with the current starter at PF, lets change the lineup against the Celtics cuz its a "bold move", forget continuity.

To the OP, before you start a new post, sort through and bring back one that was saying the same thing. I said this before the season started along with brooks. It helps the sight not be repetitve.

Agree. Landry and Brooks coming off the bench is simply killing teams, at least early in this season. And I like Scola starting. He's simply better as a starter, IMO.

Also agree with what lee said! ^^^

Scola is a smarter player, Landry is more athletic.

Scola, especially if his shots start to fall, will be a better complement to the starting team, as he can play the weak side of Yao very well.
Landry is pretty good, but his play is still opportunistic. In the next 2-3 years though, Landry may overtake Scola.

Easy. Given that scola did not have enough rest this summer, he may be a little bit tired at this period which slow down him on the court, give him some time, he will get his weapon back, then demolish anybody that get in the way.
