    Landry is a man. He'd be embarrassed if they gave him possession after a hard foul. Glad they didn't call a flagrant on that. I miss the 90s when they couldn't get called for a tech for staring at someone the wrong way, they couldn't get a flagrant for a hard play on the ball, and hand-checking was simply called playing defense.

    right, but don't injure the dude just because he blew past you and you have no chance preventing the dunk unless you foul him and send him to the line for 2 instead.

    From the NBA rule book:
    A flagrant foul—penalty (1) is unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent.

    That's it; that's the entire definition.

    OK, I looked again. He tried to hit the ball and failed. No tech. We may just have to disagree here.

    I'm fine with no flagrant being called.
