If you have an option right now choosing between Carl Landry and Jordan Hill to be our bench player. Who would you pick?

Landry's production under our system was just amazing:
-He was on pace to be 6th man of the year.
    -A great 4th quarter scorer.
-Brought lots of energy to the court every single night. Hard working just like Hayes.

Both players' salaries are about the same. If you have an option to replace Hill? Would you go for it.

I am not saying he is going to come here and will solve all of our problems. Just assume Landry taking the role of current Hill. Of course, we will need to make other changes too (ie center position).

It's going to be Landry today, but hill tmorrow, and so on. Neither are at a place where we can just pick one for the rest of the season....right now, Landry's attititude would help more.

I love Landry, but no way. I believe in Jordan Hill. Give him a few months playing in position, off the bench with Miller, and see what he can do. Landry's hit his ceiling. We have no idea what Hill's ceiling is -- but it seems like it could be very high.

hill all day. landry is only declining. he is a poor rebounder as well. hill may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I would take his upside at this point.

landry's defense sucks. i'm tired of seeing our undersized bigs get torched. landry is that small but he doesn't have the reach that todays breed of pf has. scola already provides good offense with 0 defense.

Landry a poor rebounder? I remember last year every time there was a loose ball and everyone was crashing the boards he'd be the one to come up with it

I remember in 4th quarters, we just used to give him the ball. Either he made the shot or he got fouled and he was a good free throw shooter. We had less dead quarters last year than this year.

    Landry all day.

He's a MUCH better player than Hill. Barring some kind of physical reason, there's no reason why he can't return to the player he was last season in Houston. Hill may never be as good as Landry already is.

Do we really need to keep both Hill and Patterson to develop? I think we only need one, that would be Patterson.

I think Carl is and will be a better than Jordan Hill.

However, since your question is: who would you prefer on the bench, I'd have to say Jordan. Right now, if we made that swap, our defense would only get worse.

I'd rather have Cousins, but that's not likely to happen.

I meant we only need to develop one = patterson.

    Scola/Landy/Patterson...

That gives us 2 players that are developed. One who will develop overtime.

Landry do not have good defense, but his second effort is amazing.
he contributes more on offence while hill contributes more on defense.
