rockets = superman injuries = kryptonite other teams = lex luther kryptonite may weaken superman, but superman will always beat lex luther
This is not good, he is a huge part of what is happening right now. Will Harris play? Will Williams play?
This is not true. My ACL tore 6 months ago and 6 months ago my urgeon failed to notice (don't get me started). I walked perfectly fine for 6 months, jogged on a treadmill and it wasn't till I played a full game of soccer (1 hour) that I realized I have absolutely no explosion. I had no ACL. I know this because I had surgery a few days ago. Chances that Carl Landry's ACL is partially torn = nil. You would not be able to play the next night, no way. Maybe it's strained. However the MOST likely scenario is that is a meniscus problem (can be ignored till end of season in most cases) or a bruise. So yes you can do lots of stuff without an ACL. However, you cannot do anything IMMEDIATELY (i.e. next night) if it's even partially damaged. Carl Landry definitely doesn't have an ACL tear of any degree. However, it could be a multitude of things which could have him out for weeks or it could be nothing and he'll be back for the next game.
Please let it just be two games... and please let him come back 100%... and please rockets play great tonight... please...
Yes very good analysis Doctor Ehsan, but you forgot that the most likely explantion is bursitis of the knee. Which means Landry only needs rest.
Didn't Dennis Dixon (Oregon Quarterback) play football for like two weeks this year with a partially torn acl?
This sucks, I was hoping to see Landry's monster dunks in person. I just hope the knee doesn't keep bothering him.
is all of this ACL injury speculation just from Old Man Rock's completely speculative post? guys i have had TWO TORN ACLS on the same knee. i might as well be an expert. if landry injured his ACL then there would be no way he played in the dallas game on a back to back without being significantly hampered. landry is a rookie who is showing great promise. there is no reason for the rockets to push him. the mike harris signing is excellent and i am in no way worried about landry. let him sit out until we hit the lakers. a week off should be good for him.
Didn't Philip Rivers of the Chargers have a torn ACL but play through it against the Patriots in the playoffs as well??
QBs don't need to run up and down like basketball players. Limited mobility would make Landry useless.
I guess it's evened out w/ West being out. So it's going to be Bowen vs. Scola/Novak. Umm, I'll take the Scola/Novak combo over the Whizzinator.
