Because there always are so many stup1d fans here who think we are better without one of our best players who devote themselves for this organization.

God just wants to make us better: by letting us play without another indispensable player.

I always have the freak me out moment when Landry play and dunk so agressivesly. It's just asking for an injury.

Is this confirmed? Or is this the negative energy left over from yao's season ending announcement

(They don't think it is anything major. He will probably also miss Monday's game. I wouldn't be surprised if they are extra cautious and keep him from the Atlanta trip. It's really too soon to say. They are examining him further, so it is difficult to say what they found before they find it. Also, your assumption about the medical staff is unfounded, particularly in Yao's case. They found a stress fracture before it became serious enough for him to miss a game or practice. That is unheard of with that sort of injury, though much of the credit also should go to Yao for being so diligent about reporting his condition. McGrady's was more of a freak thing that even the initial MRI did not uncover. He did no further damage on it during the uncertainty. He was just out longer than initially expected. As for Landry, they have not even diagnosed it, yet. It might be premature to say the diagnosis is wrong before they make one. -- Jonathan)

That hasn't been confirmed by anyone. I can understand fans being pessimistic though after what happened to Yao.

Hopefully he doesn't need to miss anymore than a week. We can pull off the next 4 games without him, but the week from hell is gonna require the Rockets to be at full strength(minus Yao, of course).

I don't think it's anything serious. He bruised his knee, continued to play, and now he's swelling up. He looked fine in Dallas.

Let him get time to rest and heal his knee, all should be ok. Mike Harris will get to showcase his point to stay on the team. He did great in the preseason, let's see if it'll translate. Go Rockets

Yeah very unlikely it's a torn ACL, When it goes it's extremely violent and painful. He would have gone down and been helped off. Theres no getting back on the court the next day. That being said a sprain or strain could have occured. Now I played with a guy who tore his ACL and he played for a season with the tear while wearing a huge brace. It's more of a stability and lateral movement issue. You can still run and jump but when landing and your knee going out is very likely.

    Get better Landry... PLEASE

My guess is it's just minor swelling and they want to take precaution.

And If he's out for a couple of games this might be the luckiest thing to happen to us because our next couple of games are against ****ty teams except the Lakers.

I just think if it was serious, Harris would have got a 1 year deal or something, not a 10-day. I think CL14 will miss tonight, monday and wednesday....if he doesn't play next friday vs CHA, he's a shoe-in for the game vs. LAL.

man you guys go into full panic mode anytime someone is hurt.

"carl landry has a bruised knee"............OMG OMG CARL IS HURT BAD.

Who said the Rockets medical staff is full of idiots? you? the Rockets medical staff found a stress fracture! as in, before the bone was broken? I'm sure they would be able to find a torn ACL. which Carl, doesn't appear to have. But I am no medical doctor, so I won't try to play one on internet basketball websites. niether should anyone else. Making assumptions on a players injury from gametime video and newspaper/internet articles is a waste of time. Thats probably why REAL MD's don't do those kind of diagnosis.

Carl being out is bad, of course. No need to run and jump off the roof. Besides, we are supposed to lose this game tonight anyway, according to just about every national pundit.

Give Landry as much rest and rehab as possible, as long as we are still in the playoff picture. We can stay afloat without him for a week or 2. Do NOT hurry him back.

It may be the other knee but it can still be related. If he's been overcompensating on one knee because of lingering affects, he wears out the other one. This is what happened to Ralph Sampson.

This is major 180 turn in the latter part of the roster. To waive Green for Mike Harris confirms my suspicion about Green. He just didn't show anything to the coaches. And MH is a 3, not a 4, for people who want to say we got Harris because of Landry's injury.
