This worries me. Would they have cut Green for Mike Harris if they thought this was just a one-game deal? He's going to be "reexamined" ... after Yao going down, this gives me a very uneasy feeling.

They're not saying which is why I worry. If they knew for sure it was just a bruise they would say Landry bruised his knee and will be out tonight and then we will see. But they are only saying, "Landry is out tonight". If you remember the first thing they announced about Yao was he would be out for a game. Even though they already had done the CT-Scan and were aware of Yao's damage.
It also doesn't look like they are certain Carl will be out for the season, either. Mike only has a 10-day contract, not guaranteed through rest of season.

You guys are crazy comparing Harris to Landry. Harris is not even in the same league as Landry and nobody cares for Harris. Its an insult to Landry to pump up Harris as a successor to him. Anyway, we need Carl for that brutal 6 game stretch coming that can decide our playoff fate.

right now this hurts as much as losing yao did. he's not as good obviously but his explosiveness and his potential for the future are extremely important. we don't know what's going on with him but coming off that yao injury i'm extra paranoid. time to brace for the sting.

It's obvious he'll be out for more than 1 game. They are signing Mike Harris. If Mike Harris pick up where Landry left off, we'll be in good hand. But it's going to be tough learning the new play. Hope his basketball IQ is good.
What's always concerned me about Landry is how often he seems to land awkwardly after dunking. Ever since I saw Deuce McAllister blow out his knee reaching for a high pass from Drew Brees, I cringe every time a player jumps high in the air and lands funny on one leg. Nobody does this more than Landry.
