Regardless if he passed the shot up or not it is NO WAY you can blame Landry for the loss before you blame Yao & Rafer

    yea, just one more question........

what does that have to do with Landry working on his 3 point shot........in the offseason?

    TIA.

I think of Rashard lewis kind of, and landry have to much pride to be bricking and taking heat checks at the 3pt line..I think he would only take them when neccessary...

I didn't blame Landry for losing the game, I blame Rafer for tossing that last shot up every so gently and barely scraping the rim instead of using the backboard like he should have, and then missing two free throws to boot. Landry should've just shot that damn open shot, especialy since he was on fire from midrange and they just let him stand there for a good 3 seconds wide open

    haha

The dude that started the thread said Landry was working on the three point shot to add to his game next season (which we all know was already said last season). Am I correct on that?

He said if he had the long distance range he would be unstoppable. What I was commenting about was the fact that he WAS unstoppable last night from midrange and the only person that stopped hiim was himself when he passed up the wide open shot in the 4th. Not about him working on it in the offseason

I would be all for Landry shooting 3's if he can make them at a good %.

Does anyone remember Barkley chucking up 3's when he was here? It seemed like he would always shoot like 1-2 per game and brick most of them. I'm sure if Landry had the green light he could shoot 3's a lot better than Charles.

Landry put up a couple 3's last week against Boston, but told the official score keeper to take them out the box score so no one finds out....jk

Projecting if Landry would be unstoppable with a 3 point shot....I'm of course not against any player improving their range. Landry having a 3 point shot with his current skillset I think means... he'd just make an occassional extra 3 pointer.

Landry doesnt have dribble drive skill or pump fake skill from that far out. Not like he put the ball on the floor and burn past his defender if the defender plays tight on the 3 pt shot. If anything it'd open it up for OTHER people like Yao more than himself.

Marty Leunen the Rockets 2nd round pick has more that type outside-to-inside game. He's not a great ballhandler but he does put the ball on the floor a little. More than I've seen Landry ever do. I'd rather Landry perfect his midrange & spot up jump shots (that he should be more assertive in taking when its open). That should be enough to open up his game. If the spot up shot happens to be a 3 pter, fine if ONLY he can shoot 32% & better.

And yeah Barkley is the worst volume 3 point shooter of all time.

rather landry learn some post moves. All he have currently is a jumper and a dunk. Nothing much in between.
