Hey, I am trying to find a landline phone recorder. All the ones I am finding that are decently priced are $200+ Does anyone have any suggestions? We don't have a audio jack on the phone, so it needs some kind of adapter to fit the phone jack. If anyone has any info I would really appreciate it. TIA

Took all of 30 seconds on Amazon.
everyone needs it. the next time you're talking with customer service, disgruntled ex etc. make a record.
Abusive caller at work. Thanks Better, I searched all over google, but didn't know which terms to use. Everything I found was too expensive.
Don't search google for stuff like this. You have to know a few keywords, then go to large retailer shops like Amazon or Buy.com to find those. Once you find one there, go to specialized places like monoprice.com or slickdeals.net to search individually.
What keywords would be appropriate for something like this? I searched things like "in-line recorders," "phone recorder," "landline phone recorder."
You need one so you can do stuff like this when telemarketers call: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Bm_aSA2k22w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
answering machine? You could also use a Konex acoustic coupler and record via modem if you want to go old school.
Is that all it is? I didn't want something as bulky as an answering machine. I just want something I can simply have plugged in, and when the loonies call I can press record. Seems like one of those adapters allows me to plug it into my comp, I probably could record it from there.
I use this mini-recorder controller at work (I've had it for 11 years; maybe I need to upgrade technology). It attaches between your headseat and the base. The controller has a mic output that you attach to your preferred recording device. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104040
edit: ^^^^^^^^^^^^ that should work also (cheaper too) yeah I had an answer machine back in the day where I could hit record at anytime in the conversation.. but here's something smaller... (I was half joking about the coupler) LINK
Yeah you can plug it directly into your soundcard on a pc.. or anything with a recording input. Tape deck, voice recorder, etc. It has a 1/8" mini plug output. (think mini headphone jack)
