Old News. Lance's problem is he is behind the times by about 2 years.

Just look at Baggy's body when he was smashing and look at it today. Look at his forehead, his temple. There is no doubt in my mind and had been no doubt for a long time, going clear back to McGuire and the andro incident that Baggy was taking something. Get real guys.

I think, just to **** with people's minds, a player like Tim Wakefield should do some roids and get caught, just so every single player in the game will then be under suspicion. I mean, if a freakin' knuckleballer was on the juice, THEN EVERYONE IS. WE ARE DOOMED. DOOMED I SAY.

Yeah I think I know who you mean.

The only guy in our class who I remember hearing rumors about didn't even play football or any sport, and I think just wanted to look good for girls on the beach in galveston, lol. Not sure if he actually used or not.

Yeah, there was a guy I knew in high school that was on 'roids. He was a tiny kid and he came back from the summer break and had put on about 30 pounds of muscle. I didn't even recognize him. He made varsity as a junior and eventually got a football scholarship to TCU.

I don't want to mention his name* because they are only allegations and I have no way to prove it and I don't want to tarnish his good name.

Such a good point, DD, that here is the e-mail I sent him:

    Lance,

Cough. I heard you on-air this morning relaying your suspicions cough that Jeff Bagwell used steroids. I also remember you cough being upset at a certain Rockets message board moderator about allowing rumors of Tracy McGrady's earlier "personal" problems. Don't you think your airing of cough rumors this morning is a little hypocritical given your cough stance on internet rumors regarding Houston Rocket small forwards? Cough.

    Just wondering,
    Blake

Does anybody know when baseball players started hitting the weight room? I know most pitchers used to never lift weights, and I want to say position players didn't really start until recently either.

I'd say early 90's about the time that Bagwell hit the majors. Bagwell has had the same power since he arrived in the majors. If he did do steroids, it sure didn't show in his numbers. All of this really doesn't matter at this point does it?

No. I was thinking it was like the early 90's, but I couldn't remember for sure. That would explain why a lot of players bulked up over the 90's though, wouldn't it?

    1. Biggio is still playing at a good level.
    2. His body is not breaking down.
    3. Never had sick HR numbers.

Biggio is the last Astro I would suspect did roids. Now Bagwell, Luis Gonzalez, Finley, and Cammy are another story.

WHat he said...He didn't have the spike these other guys had and was consistent...Remember, he played in the Dome and that limited his #'s...
