The roster only expands by 2 in September, one pitcher and one hitter. I don't know that Lance makes it under that criteria. Old rules, sure.
Management needs to make true and unbiased assessment of LMJ moving forward. If he cannot help this team win games and will be a liability, then he should not be on the roster. I’ve always been an LMJ fan, but he looks done.
I believe he and the Astros will come to a disability agreement and he will be retired this off season.

It is possible. Thats what happened with the Nationals and Strasburg. His entire 2026 salary would could toward the CBA but he would not take a 40 or 26 man roster spot. I only think it happens if Lance fails a physical, though.
