Just provide unisex bathrooms. That's how we do it at home.

I have used unisex bathrooms in a lot of public places like bars and restaurants and never found myself in danger of "crimes" ?
Don't see what's the issue here...

It's pretty dumb that the only cogent objection anyone can come up with to this ordinance is that men might go into women's restrooms. I don't know if anyone's noticed, but our enforcement of who goes into what bathroom has been incredibly lax up till now, and society has not imploded. The sad part is that the Houston voters will probably vote the ordinance down on this basis.

If boggles my mind how people can make **** up out of thin air, lie to the public, and somehow maintain a sense of being "the good guy".

I'd have trouble looking in the mirror, much less projecting sef-righteous smugness.

If you have to lie and fearmonger, you're probably the guy in the black cowboy hat, standing in the corner twisting your mustache, fantasizing about tying the heroine on the railroad tracks.

By "troubled" he probably means "mentally ill" which would be an accurate statement. Either way though, I don't think it's really that controversial to say that individuals with Y chromosomes have no business in the women's restroom or locker room.

Things get touchy when it comes to people with transsexualism or gender dysphoria, but they can't expect everyone to play along with their delusion that they are actually of the opposite sex. Some will, and it's cool of them to do so, but it's just unrealistic to think that everyone will play along.

Plz tell me under what danger I am when a transexual or gender dysmorphic person uses a womans toilet. If these people have the sexual identity of a woman what will they do? Sexual assault? Rape?
The most is making someone uncomfortable.

Not to mention, it's not like they'd be standing over a trough. They'd be in stalls and wouldn't know the equipment of the person next to them. Most people wouldn't notice anyway.

Even if the issue is people that have mental problems. What percentage of the population are we talking about? One that's statistically significant?

The fact that it makes some uncomfortable is really all that matters. They aren't actually women even if they are pretending to be so having those who are biologically men in the women's restroom or locker room is inappropriate.

Would women be in danger of sexual assalut or rape if all bathrooms and locker rooms were unisex? Probably not, but it would very likely make people uncomfortable.

Kind of sounds like the arguments made 60 years ago to keep separate restrooms, water fountains, schools for African Americans. It might make people uncomfortable.

    Most people got over it.

Only it's not like that at all. In any way.

We're talking about men using the woman's restroom/locker room, it's simply in no way similar to Jim Crow Laws. At all.

No more uncomfortable than a lot of other people you see in a toilet.

A tranny is more dangerous than an someone with a disease? But we dont' ask for medical histories before accepting someone into public toilets.

Btw I have used a mens toilet(with stall ofc) some times when the line is like 20 persons in the womans and in the mans it's empty. Maybe I am a danger to men too lol.

Here is an idea: Why not have a transgender bathroom!!!

Look ANY guy transgender or not can go into a women's bathroom and say he thinks/feels he's a woman and be protected under the law. This transgender bathroom law is only asking for trouble in my opinion! I don't care who's toes I'm stepping on in here, I'm with Lance on this one!!!

If it is so lax . . . why do we need the ordinance?

That's exactly the point. If you let some men into the woman's restroom and dressing room, you couldn't discriminate against some men by saying they can't. It's just how the laws work.
