Highschool is where all your real friends are made. They are lifelong friends unlike at university, you have different classes with different people and can rarely bound fully with anyone unless you are in a highly specialized major and have the same schedules as other people
I hope the kid doesn't blow out a knee or anything, because he doesn't seem to have much of a back-up plan.
