Thanks for sharing but you're right, it's lame. The salaries do not even come close to matching. The ONLY way this is a possibility is if it's part of a three-team deal of some kind where the Lakers are getting something really worth-while in return. JVG did talk about recently how he would still like to get another big man and more ability to stretch the floor from the 4. Odom would fit the bill.
A second Gay and Swift trade in making. This time Novak, a rookie with 'lot' of potential and Juwan Howard for proven Odom. Mmm.....really lame.
I'm sorry I just finished my two sandwiches.....have we traded a good shooter and a mediocre PF for Kobe's b#$ch yet?
I put this in RealGM trade checker for the hell of it. Trade ID: 3357516 if you guys wanna view. L.A. Lakers Trade Breakdown Outgoing Lamar Odom 6-10 SF from Rhode Island 14.8 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 5.5 apg in 40.3 minutes Incoming Juwan Howard 6-9 PF from Michigan 11.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.7 minutes Steve Novak 6-10 from Marquette No games yet played in 2005/06 Change in team outlook: -3.0 ppg, -2.5 rpg, and -4.1 apg. Houston Trade Breakdown Outgoing Juwan Howard 6-9 PF from Michigan 11.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.7 minutes Steve Novak 6-10 from Marquette No games yet played in 2005/06 Incoming Lamar Odom 6-10 SF from Rhode Island 14.8 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 5.5 apg in 40.3 minutes Change in team outlook: +3.0 ppg, +2.5 rpg, and +4.1 apg. Failed Scenario Due to L.A. Lakers and Houston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and Houston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here (only L.A. Lakers met the condition). This trade does not satisfy the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Lol, again for the hell of it. I tried same trade adding Bob Sura to the deal. Would work under the cap! L.A. i am sane,it just irks me that ppl act like i am makin up what i heard, that was just the rumor, then ppl start with "how about for lebron" i know ppl make stuff up on boards but i always make it a point not to.
I know you aren't making this up but you gotta just look at it first to see if the trade could even happen no matter how out of this world it sounds. by sanity check I meant looking at the salaries and looking at the fact we are not allowed to trade novak for months. so now whenever you see the guy you can call him a r****d if he was serious.
So you post something against the trading rule and no chance of happening but expect people to take it seriously? I thought after 500+ posts, you should know better than that.
and the last one for tonight: lame rumor (i hope it not true) i heard at work was Osama and cash for Bush, how would yall feel about that one?
Just curious. Do you think there has been any trade talks between the Rox and Lakers involving Juwan Howard?
Ummmm....well, that's about one helluva a stupid post. If you want Osama Bin Laden as your President, I hear the Tora Bora mountains are quite nice this time of year.
The guy is a consummate professional, I would trade him for Garnett or Brand but anyone else is pushing it. He does so much for the community.
Per Mad Max: "And i heard that, last week, Japanese scientists explaced... placed explosive detonators at the bottom of Lake Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water. Sir Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance summoned the help of Scotland's local wizards to cast a protective spell over the lake and its local residents and all those who seek for the peaceful existence of our underwater ally" __________________ Thank you I needed that
