LMA and Harden would be a minimum 50 points a game duo and they would make every body on the court better. Trade whatever you have to to get him. Just like with Harden, it would be worth it.
Do not ever overestimate the value of LMA. Nice player, not a top stud. I'd like to have him. So? There is no either/or here.
I would like the situation we'd be in if we managed to land both these guys. But I still think that the center position is the most important to really make our team a title contender. LMA has the length at the four to guard centers but it's just that extra bit of strength and brawn. Offensively it's really a toss up whether you want that stretch 4 capable of working in the post as well OR that guy who cleans everything up around the basket and knows how to put it back in. It was a real tough choice this to be honest, both guys are good pieces to build a championship team around.
Well actually, it may work out we give up Robinson and White for Dwight. But for Aldridge, the conversation wouldnt even begin without Asik, Lin, Motie/Jones + picks. Answer Dwight.
I am inclined to say Aldridge and Asik over Howard / Smith. But, the obvious answer is Howard / Aldridge.
i dont think i can find a way to get LMA without trading for him, so I dont see how its possible to get asik and LMA together
Aldridge if we could swing the deal within the next season or two, paired with Asik and Parsons would be a beastly front court, without having to change our gimmick offense that people around here seem to love.
Aldridge is vastly overrated. Shoots way to many mid range shot, and doesn't really do anything else great. Howard, regardless of circumstances.
What? You don't HAVE to. We can CHOOSE to. That is a huge difference. Ball is in our court and we only HAVE to give up salary cap space. We might CHOOSE to move Asik later on. With POR, we don't have a choice. Ball is in their court, and we will HAVE to give up player assets...probably good ones because POR isn't looking out for OUR best interests. I don't see how that is a hard concept to grasp. So the question is a misleading or odd one. But now that we have Dwight, the question should be...can we move enough assets to get LMA, and what would we be willing to give up that POR could also want?
LMA is the most underrated 4 in the league. Once he get's on a championship caliber team, the people will see. Ala' Pau when he played for the Grizzlies.
