If you don't have a guarantee to get Dwight you keep Asik no matter what. Without him or someone like him, you have no D or rebounding. Now if we end up getting DHO, then you go for it later when the price is reduced.

The trade machine hasn't rolled forward yet so I don't know all the new salaries for 2013 and I am too lazy to do it by hand. FWIW, using last years numbers, it is only off 65k for Chicago.

 

I'm not a Lin hater by any means, but I would do Asik + Lin for Aldridge. Though, I'm not sure why the Blazers would take Lin.

LMA is my dream player for this team.

If we could send out Lin + Asik + Robinson + whatever other PF is desired in some sort of a three/four way deal where we receive Aldridge, we will have cemented Dwight as a Rocket. I can't see this happening but crazier things have occured.

Yes, Noah is definitely better. But when you just look at the numbers it's amazing how close Asik is to Noah. If a team wanted Noah but couldn't get him, then Asik would be a pretty good back up plan.
