No. They are not deranged whatsoever. They are on purpose. What they do reflect is, though, the massive mess that is the Houston Rockets right now.

Idk, don't know the guy he may just laugh.

Any ways, Not much he could do. He challenged his shots, it's not like he let L.A get open jumpers and dunks. At the point of the 4th qtr it mught be time to start doubling the guy and let someone else beat you. Besides L.A was known as a big softie last year too, it's amazing what experience can do to a player.

I'm not even concerned with the defense he played on Aldridge, more about his decisions on offense late in the 4th. That caused the teams defeat more so than Aldridge who has been getting his regardless.

But L.A is a very talented PF, i'm not really surprised. I have no idea how Tyrus Thomas went ahead of him.

In his basketball maturity.. Jordan Hill is probably in Lamarcus' last year at UT. And L.A. was a raw player too.

Even if its straight by NBA experience.. If it was Year 2 Jordan Hill vs. Year 2 Lamarcus it would have been incredibly different.

L.A. has made huge strides throughout his career. Lets hope Jordan can do the same.

I guess you can compare physical stats because their game is nothing alike.

LOL, Aldridge has put on a lot of muscle since UT and his pre-draft workouts. It's been a while since he's weighed 234 lbs. I'd put him closer to 255 lbs. His body has changed drastically the last 4 years. Not so much this summer, but the 3 prior summers he came into Blazers training camp obviously bulked up vs the prior season.

I wish the NBA would re-measure every player during camp and publish the info so websites could update the information. For example, according to espn.com, Shaq weighs only 15 more lbs than Yao.

Jordan Hill just lacks defense experience.

besides, those physical stats always lie. Kevin Durant do not have a good stat. but everybody knows he is...

This is akin to the Crocodile Dundee tranny nut grab test. One of them has that extra something.

Especially when Aldridge is playing his natural 4 position and Hill ain't no center (he's a 4 and Hill will be a solid player in the future). With Hill its all about his motor. He still did a better job checking Aldridge than what Scola did and to be fair how many players in the league can hold down Aldridge. The team really missed Chuck Hayes in these recent matchups against Portland, he gives Aldridge fits with his low center of gravity.

So true. What people don't understand is basketball development. Hill is still a young guy in terms of basketball development. I wish he could play as much as he can unless he's in foul trouble to develop in basketball. Last night, he played solid initial defense with the bumping and stuff, he got into trouble afterwards or after the 2nd or 3rd basketball move occurred. This comes with experience.

Offensively, he's thinking too much. He just needs to let it rip and just play. I was at the game and he made a few dive cuts and didn't get the ball from scola. He also needs to just pull the string on the jumper. I never said he would be a great offensive player, but I think he can be a 15-16ppg 10 rebound type of guy in my opinion. He needs to play as much as he can, its not like the rockets are going anywhere.

I think its time for Jordan to shave his hair off and start his career over as a basketball player. I dont mean quit for awhile or anything, just a change of mentality and approach to the game.

He has great physical attributes, size, athleticism etc... but the dude just needs to be a basketball player. Get comfortable with the game. Go down to the southside and play 21 with teens on the blacktop.

He is physically the same as a player like Aldridge, or Amare, but he's just not comfortable out there and looks like he's thinking too much about the plays etc. rather than just playing ball. Dont imitate other guys you play with. Especially Scola and his damn scoops. Evolve your own game get comfortable and then go into beast mode without fouling yourself out of the game.

Haters should read this. I’ve had a little let down but I have not given up on him, in an exercise of patience I like to see his mistakes just as growing pains. I don’t want to make any excuses for him but I wonder if Chuck would had made a difference on LA, I mean LA is having if not the best, one of the best stretches of his career, I also remember how he burned us in the playoff series and how LA can shoot over Hayes every single time.

I still think that Jordan Hill is already a good man on man defender and he’ll continue to be tested in the upcoming games. I just hope he makes strides and comes away with positives in offense and defense and not frustrated how he has in the few games of this new year.
