I think it's gonna be hard to get rid of Parsons because he was big in getting Howard here and I think Howard wants to play next to him.

Lebron James would also be a perfect fit for the Rockets.....

Actually despite looking good on paper, LMA is one of the worst power forward fits for the Rockets. He isn't good at the pick and roll and is horrid in Isolation situation. His midrange jumper is only good when he's set. Also he can't shoot a three and his defense is lacking.

The best power forward for the Rockets is actually Chris Bosh. Great midrange shooter, either on the move or spot up. Can hit open three's. Wonderful on the pick and roll. Has a respectable post game as seen in his Toronto games and he has experience working with other dominant players as seen from his stint in the Heats.

Imagine my disappointment to think we had traded for him but to find out it is another LMA thread. :(

I don't know about this Aldridge guy, but Brent Price is the perfect fit at PG.

The Dude: I dropped off the money exactly as per... look, man, I've got certain information, all right? Certain things have come to light. And, you know, has it ever occurred to you, that, instead of, uh, you know, running around, uh, uh, blaming me, you know, given the nature of all this new ****, you know, I-I-I-I... this could be a-a-a-a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex, I mean, it's not just, it might not be just such a simple... uh, you know?

The Big Lebowski: What in God's holy name are you blathering about?

The Dude: I'll tell you what I'm blathering about... I've got information man! New **** has come to light! And ****... man, she kidnapped herself. Well sure, man. Look at it... a young trophy wife, in the parlance of our times, you know, and she, uh, uh, owes money all over town, including to known pornographers, and that's cool... that's, that's cool, I'm, I'm saying, she needs money, man. And of course they're going to say that they didn't get it, because... she wants more, man! She's got to feed the monkey, I mean uh... hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

No. We'd be plugging one hole while opening another. Parsons still has room to grow (and I think he will) and his contract is fantastic. And he is a great presence on this team.

I'd rather keep looking for other options. LA would be great but not at that cost, and he isn't the only good option out there.

Would y'all accept losing Asik, Lin, AND Parsons for LMA+ whomever? I personally am torn as chemistry is important but.... LMA is so freakin good.

Well thank god CF isn't the GM.

A bigger question though, is why would Portland trade their star PF for Lin, Asik and Parsons when they just committed money to Batum and have their own star pg?

Everyone knows that already. There isn't anyone here who wouldn't salivate over the idea of getting Aldridge as our 4. If we can get him without losing Harden, Dwight and Parsons, this team just might be able to pull off a championship. It's not the best out there in terms or raw talent, but the pieces fit together so perfectly and the two dominant bigs and elite pick and roll wing is hard to match up against.

The only way I see this happening is Asik for LMA but I don't see this happening. Your not going to be able to pawn off JLin to the Trailblazers.

They've got a great guard in Lillard. Enough said.

Oh yeah and the one major thing that stops us from getting Aldridge is that we don't have the right pieces for the Blazers. The main reason for them to trade LMA is because he's already peaked and doesn't sync up with the rest of their core. Asik is more of a win now option and they'd rather try to develop Leonard as their center. They already have Lillard so Lin is redundant to them. Even if we throw in Parsons, the Blazers are big on Batum and see him as the future 3. Nobody in the league thinks as highly on TJones as we do. And any picks we give will be in the high 20's because this team, especially with LMA is a contender. The only way this can happen is a 3 team trade.
