Ravens haven’t signed him to a mega deal yet if your Caserio would you ever consider trading for + super paying Lamar Jackson?
Why? Davis Mills was objectively a better QB (not that he was all that good) in his rookie season than Lamar Jackson was in his 4th. Jackson fooled people with a fluke season in 2019 where the gimmick of him being a running QB worked, but the league has adjusted to that and he's gotten markedly worse every season since. Right now I wouldn't want to "super pay" Davis Mills, why would I want to "super pay" an inferior QB that would have to be traded for?
Non mobile QB? Is that what we're calling it now? Give me Mills on his contract vs LJ on what his new contract is going to be. BTW, some around these parts make it seem like Mills is like Schaub. How many of these mobile QBs have won championships?
Lamar is not a good QB, almost every Baltimore fan I know doesn’t want him. Has nothing to do with mobile or not. Rodgers, Allen, Mahomes are all mobile. But they’re elite passers, that’s what matters more for QUARTERBACKS. Don’t know why some of you only want a QB that can run fast. But they can’t pass. There’s a common theme
Ravens fans want Lamar Jackson to be DeShaun Watson (without the fetish). Mobile, but a great passer first.
why do you think Ravens, havent signed him to a mega deal yet? people blame Prescott and Watson for not winning in the playoffs, Lamar is the same cant win in the playoffs with a 1-3 record giving a mega deal to Lamar, is going to kill the Texans chances, you cant sign anyone else, and the texans need more pieces to be succesful.
Look, I like Lamar as a player. Just not as a QB for the Texans. This move reeks of desperation and the same nonsense of the stuff I’ve seen on Reddit about Baker Mayfield… Mills or Bust is the answer. If he works out, great. If not, high draft picks.
From the sound of it, I don't think anything is going to happen this yr, more like next off-season. I definitely think you give Mills this season, just to see what you got. He didn't show me anything special last yr but I'm willing to see. However, if the Ravens won't extend Lamar, that says a lot because they are great talent evaluators but they did extend Flacco.
He regressed big time last year. He just hasn’t evolved as a passer. Too easy to figure out and is a major injury risk down the road if he doesn’t figure out how to be a QB.
Well yeah....why would they? You won't find many football fans that actively want to downgrade the QB position and Jackson was objectively inferior to Mills rookie season at QB in his 4th season. I think the real question would be, what would be behind those who do want that to happen since there's not a football justification for it.....
They extended Flacco because of the Super Bowl win. If Lamar Jackson does leave there the backup they had last year did a lot of the same stuff. He wasn't bad
