you're insulting the rest of the rockets here. are you saying when battier sits, we have 5 stupids on the court?

    Battier + Lakers = 6 Rings

No Joke. Think about Pierce having to go against KB24 AND Shane. That would be sick. I really hope he retires a Rocket, but if he had to go, I hope he ends up in LA. I'm not saying LA is anywhere on my list of favorite teams, but, seeing that combo mismesh of guys would be insane. What if Shaq came back to the Lakes too, that would be scary.

    Fisher
    KB24
    Shane
    Odom
    Shaqfu

That would be down right scary...

I agree, I wouldn't let the Batt-man go for anyone on the Lakers except Kobe, because as long as he's (kobe) in the league, we need to have Shane guard him and try to control his scoring. I don't ever see Kobe scoring 60+ against Shane.

Not at all -- I think the Rox are one of the more intelligent teams in the league. Adding Odom and losing Battier might change that, though. Lamar has a nasty habit of forgetting his brain at home about half the time.

Because you see Ariza on the Sportscenter? Right?

To be honest, Ariza isn't much better than Von Wafer or more athletic.

I'd take Ariza for Battier straight up. I'd try to make the Lakers sweeten the deal and ask for Vujacic as well. That'd be a pretty fair trade. We get two young talents under 24 to group and build with Brooks/Lowry/Landry/Wafer and Lakers get a defensive Posey-esque player to get them over the hump.

And for the record Ariza is better than Wafer righjt now and he has a chance to be A LOT BETTER and it's not just because he's on the Lakers and gets shown on ESPN. He's a legit lengthy 6'8 with equal or greater athleticism and he rebounds better, better defensive better with a more refined game. Both are still raw but Ariza is more seasoned with more potential between the two.

That only works if we're not a playoff contender and are in rebuilding mode. Other than Yao, I would say Battier is probably the most untouchable player if he doesn't suddenly decline significantly.

We are not in the rebuilding mode right now. We will be fine when that 23
millions comes off the book. We like good and classy guys like Battier on the Rockets team who always gives 110% on the court. It's much more fun to
watch team-oriented players compete. No more big egos and dramas please.

Technically, he said Kobe would be the player he'd want to play with other than his current teammates.
