Uh oh...here come the Lakers. It would be just our darn luck to finish 9th in the West and have the 14th Pick yet again!!!

Lakers are better than us. They have injuries but did not panic trade a starter and 2 other rotation guys for a crappy team's draft bust plus 2nd round pick. Their management have faith in their team as human beings.

Their owner didn't deserve to die.

Kobe is a warrior, he won't let our team beat his for the last spot. Of course, our backup excuse is 'well, we are a young team so it's okay to blow the lead."

Morey sure threw the team's playoff hopes down the well so that his boy Thomas Jefferson can be free.

i have an alternate theory that maybe he knew his team wasn't going to be able to make the playoffs anyways for "basketball reasons", so why not start planning for next season :)

plus now when we don't make the playoffs, he'll have a solid convenient excuse to throw the coach down the well :p

The Lakers beat the Timberwolves and here comes the Lakers?

Timberwolves are garbage. People are overreacting. Lakers are about to get beat by the Hawks and OKC and if the Rockets take care of business against Orlando and Dallas we could be back up by 4 games.

Lakers just aren't very good. They aren't going to make the playoffs unless Utah collapses.

They have been winning the majority of their games for the last 17. Looks like they've figured it out to me.

Lakers are not better then us. They are full of a bunch of overpaid old ass players who need to retire. They got one of the worst benches in the league.

Trading Patterson, Morris, Douglas, Aldrich has nothing to do with us making the playoffs. We should make it regardless.

Yeah this is the kind of crap I was worried about. Gave up Patterson/TD right before our playoff push. It's bound to to mess with our rotation. I guess we have to pick our poison. Give our other guys (i.e. DMO/Beverly) more playing time and build for the future or stick with PPat/TD. The problem is TRob will need time to gel with our line up and DMO needs to get used to extended minutes. We're losing to teams that we're supposed to beat. Lakers starting to get it. This won't end well... Every win is a must win for us. The notion that we have a easy schedule down the stretch is just dumb.

Again. Rockets are 2-2 without Patterson and Morris. Beating the Thunder and Nets. They didn't lose those last two games because of a loss without Patterson or Morris.

The Lakers are not 1.5 games behind, they are two games behind (and that has been the case for a while now). I don't know why they make it more complicated then it is. The loss column is all that counts. They will only move closer to us and gain a game against us if we lost to Orlando.

The only thing that has happened in the West the past week or so is that the Rockets moved a game closer to Utah.

The Lakers have been disjointed and utter mess all year long, but truth be told I would not want to play them in the first round, especially San Antonio.

The Lakers getting in doesn't mean Houston is out, but it makes harder for them down the stretch.

If Kobe was a warrior, his team should be sitting on top of the Western standings and not fighting for a playoffs spot. Of course, kobe wankers' backup excuse is'well, we have injuries so it's ok to miss the playoffs.

trading patterson got rid of our best on only midrange shooter. Now all houston does is shoot 3 pointers and force paint shots because no other player has confidence to shoot from 16 feet
