Coach D will probably make his coaching debut with the Lakers on Sunday vs the Houston Rockets. Reported on SI.com

That Bynum for Howard trade looks like a highway robbery. Might be even better than that gasol trade.

Injured or not, you gotta take a chance on the 2nd best C in the game. Especially if he is young. Bynum was a more attractive trade piece than anything else that was being offered. Not LA's fault Orlando didn't wind up with him or more for him.

It is if they win a championship. They're not going to win a championship this year. Or next.

May be so, but they look flat footed and out of sync. And they seem to have lots of difficulty executing plays.

Lakers should have won by 10 last night if they held onto more rebounds or hit their open shots.

Their D was awesome, and spacing was really good. That last play was a broken one, but other than that, there's alot of potential with this team.

With D'Antoni coaching, they win that game going away.

Did you even watch the game? Vs. the first games with Mike Brown? Are you kidding me?

The spurs shot 39%, not getting much open looks at all. Manu was a non-factor. LA missed alot of great looks, got out-reffed by Splitter on the boards, and had no Nash or Blake (both competent 3 pt shooters, not to mention Nash's playmaking abilities).

They lost on a good drawn play and a hard shot with a good close-out by Kobe.

Sure LA didn't have Nash and no needs to mention Blake(non factor), but you could arguably say that Spurs were playing flat out horrible and still squeaked out a win. If they were playing at their best and barely won, Spur fans should be worried.

Besides DH, Lakers stars are just too old. They look like a second round exit team at best. This wont be the Mike DA and Steve Nash show of 2005 either, Nash is just too old and not as lethal in the pnr anymore. LA should trade Pau and deepen their bench IMHO. Letting Brown go was a big mistake. (Shannon Brown lol)

If D'antoni ends up making his debut against the rockets then maybe it can be nationally televised so we can all watch it? I can wish right? =/

So are you saying Spurs played horrible because of themselves and not because of Lakers D?? That makes a lot of sense.

all games are scheduled before the new season starts.

they can't just change their broadcast schedule because of D'antoni.

looks like Rockets vs Lakers is going to be Time Warner Cable sportsnet broadcast.
