Now more and more realistic...whats the chances they will fire their 2nd coach in the first half of the season...
Loving this!!! Finger-licking good, waiting for this **** to get really out of hand. D'antoni is not at fault here, Mike Brown was bad but also not the problem, it's the team as a unit. The bench stinks, Dwight is not playing up to par, Kobe is a black hole and they figured it would come easy with Nash. Let's hope when Nash comes back, they won't all of a sudden become great!
LOL, you surely have only eyes, no brain to think about why. it's so funny some kobe or lakers hater come to lakers thread just want to laugh the lakers, there is nothing to be laugh, the Lakers got so many championship, and kobe made a lot of money and he has been so great in his career. and what about the number of rings of your team? yes, they have to fire D'Antonio, the point is ,they have to wait for Nash to come out play and see how it goes first. if they don't fire D'Antoni, the Lakers is done this season, period!
lakers have put out the word that they are looking for a point guard. i wonder who they will go after?
Hearing D-West, Johnny Flynn (as an Ausi-opt out clause) and...Mike James *itch. lol - love those options...
So a friend asked me why I thought the Lakers keep losing. I told him simple, KB shoots too many shots. Although at the time I based my answer purely on games i've seen them play this season. I wanted to dig deeper and find some facts. Now according to basketball-reference.com. Kobe is averaging 20fga through 22 games. I used the player query option, and entered a search that consisted of looking at how well the Lakers have played when Kobe has >=20fga per game. Here are the results: Rk Player Pos From To L-Count 1 Kobe Bryant G 2013 2013 10 Rk Player Pos From To W-Count 1 Kobe Bryant G 2013 2013 1 Now i'm not ignoring that fact that the Lakers find it tough to rotate on defense, but LA have a record of 8-3 when KB shoots <=19fga per game. Have scouts figured the lakers out? Do teams allow Kobe to score because they realise he can be a detriment to the teams overall peformance?
The Lakers are quickly becoming the most favorite team....................................................................................................................for me to poop on!!:grin:
O come on people are we really gonna blame all those loss on Kobe when he's averaging career high FG%, 3PT%, FT%, and still got 5 rebs and 5 assists per game? Melo's got even more shots than Kobe but his team's got a real point guard and plays good defense.
I preface by saying I have never been a Kobe fan, and this might just be the first time I'm going to defend him. But Kobe is most certainly not the issue with the Lakers. He has been ridiculously efficient this season, and the Lakers offense has run pretty smoothly despite putting out likes of Duhon, old Jamison, Jordan Hill, Jodie Meeks, etc. Their problems come square on defense and Dwight Howard no longer the dominant inside presence he was with the Magic, as well as absolutely no depth. Not even on par with guys like Ariza, Odom, and Fisher. But Kobe has been ridiculous this season.

This is going to be a lot of fun if it continues into January. At that moment Kobe will start a lot of ****
Too bad Royce's bus is in the garage. Seriously, has any team ever fired two coaches in less than half a season? Anyway, like I said, if you look at the Lakers' stats, it's not the defense, not the offense, not the eFG%, not the rebounding. It's the turnovers. They had 18 turnovers last night losing to the lowly Cavaliers. A veteran team isn't supposed to be so bad with TOs.
Lakers remaining december schedule @NYK @WAS @PHI vs CHA @GS vs NYK @DEN vs POR Predict the W-L I say 4-4
