This is correct. The last half of the 4th quarter wasn't kind to the Lakers. Dwight did not miss every FT, but the Hack-a-Dwight strategy nuked the Lakers chemistry and the Magic erupted on offense. Kobe called out Pau after the game and told him to "Put your big-boy pants on". http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/...ryant-los-angeles-lakers-calls-pau-gasol-loss Pau and D'Antoni have a disconnect. Nash might be able to bring them together but I'm not so sure now. When D'Antoni has it in for a player, he doesn't forgive easily. But it's early. IMO, the Lakers entire season rests with Steve Nash and even if he gets everybody on one page, it probably won't be enough with their weak bench. Relying on Jamison and Jodie Meeks to go 12/18 from long range to win games is Fools Gold.
And I'm very grateful. Passing on Grumpy for Mr. Potato Head last year and the Colonel for Pringles this time. Way to go Lakers!
throughout november, fakers fans were gloating to me about jordan hill like he the best thing since sliced up bread.......now i notice his biggest anti-fan (mr. pringles) don't even play him..
Hill makes no sense there. Since he can't, he's has to play at center in that system. But D'Antoni gives Pau all the backup center minutes now, since Pau is so much better in that role than the "Shawn Marion" role.
Trade value? What trade value? As you said, what team would give the Lakers anything of value for Gasol. Maybe the Knicks would send them Stoudemire, but that's just one ridiculous contract for another. And Stoudemire is about done, but get paid through 2015. I cant imagine any team giving up anything for Gasol at this point. I think the Lakers are stuck with the guy.
No doubt. Even when pau's trade value hits rock bottom, some dumb gm will still give Kupchak Kevin Love or Lamarcus Aldridge for him. Kupchak has pics of every gm in da league havin a gay sex orgy wit every nba mascot in costume and a few farm animals.
Nah, i think they would get a pretty good deal that includes salary savings and solid starter level players who fit the system. If this was a 4 year contract, it's one thing. But you are basically taking no risks with a 1 or 1.5 year long contract. If Iverson could land Chauncey Billups... Even if Pau's decline was as bad as his raw stats suggest -- which I don't agree with -- I bet there would still be reasonable offers to be had.
Yeah back when he had Shaq and a young Pau. He kept shooting to make it look like he was the man. But he wasn't.
