So who's getting annoyed with espn and especially magic talking about the lakers pregame, halftime show, and postgame regardless of what teams are playing unless it's the heat with lbj playing(not resting). Weak.
I'm surprised no one has talked about magic and everyone talking about the Lakers beating the Spurs. They're not even yet and they are an 8th seed struggling to make it and barely beating non playoff teams for a reason. 1st. I hope the jazz make it(my hate for the lakers has grown beyond the jazz now that sloan isnt around). 2nd. If they do make it, i hope the Spurs sweep them.(Hate for Lakers is way more than the hate for the Spurs. I actually respect the Spurs and not the leagues lil baby Fakers.)
I can't believe he's allowed to continuously spout off on the Lakers like he is without bringing ANY other analysis to the table. If he's not talking about the Lakers or the Heat, he literally isn't talking. It's obnoxious. Everybody knows he has a share in the Lakers, and it's obvious what his agenda is (the better the Lakers are, the better it is for his bank account), and yet he's allowed to sit on TV as a "neutral" expert? The conflict of interest is absurd.
Even the commissioner is not neutral. He would have the Lakers in the finals every year if it were up to him. And that's not conspiracy. That's actually out of his own mouth.
Tell me about it guys. For once, I WANT to know what's the spurs positioning, or the nuggets, or dallas and im a rockets fan ffs. Think utah is getting some love? Hell no. Its just to update on magics lakers and how kobe will WILL his team blah blah blah. His crybaby, apologist, homerism antics is absurd.
Well, the league has a lot to gain by the Lakers making the playoffs, and surely the media knows to hype this up. No one will watch an OKC/Jazz or Spurs/Jazz first round but everyone will watch LA (even though they'd get swept). I feel sorry for the Jazz fans though because it's pretty insulting how overlooked they are when, on paper, they should have about a 50% chance of making the 8th seed (in reality I think we all know the Lakers have it on lock).
not if Utah loses 2 out of 3. they would only have to win one. if Utah loses out the Lakers could lose out and still get in.
This is the first time I've ever seen so many people on this board rooting for the Jazz. And I approve.
I refuse to root Jazz over Lakers... Jazz are my least favorite team. They will always be rooted against.
Do the Rockets not have an ongoing feud with the Jazz? Why are people rooting for them on a Rockets board? That's not how feuds play out in other sports such as football.
the way I think of it, I'm not rooting for the jazz to succeed; I'm rooting for the lakers to fail miserably. but when it comes down to it, **** both of them.
Let's give the Lakers "some f credits" if they do get in. Then I'll have another team to root for in the playoffs, the Lakers' opponent!
I want nothing more than the Rockets to beat the Lakers in the last game of the season. Magic Johnson said that if the Lakers have to win that game to get in the playoffs, then Kobe WILL lead them to a win. For that, among various other strings of nonsense he's put together during the Lakers' playoff push, he can eat a bag of ****s. Has Kobe also WILLED them to the 5-5 record they have right now, Earvin?
bookmakers are already giving the lakers a higher chance to win the western conference than the rockets or the warriors. I've even seen one that favors the lakers over the grizzlies to win the west.
Utah is getting no love at all and imnot surprised that the nba or the so called experts always go with the predictable, but then wants us to believe they dont rig games... Give me a break.
