Or quitting on the Lakers the first go around.

As Red Auerbach said the other day of Phil "Hes a good coach and all, but hes picked his spots very well"

    Let's see ...

    Kwame - averaging 5.5 points, 5.5 rebounds
    Mihm - 5 points 1.5 rebounds

No, I'd say so far they are worse than wennington and longley, as sad as that is.

Odom and Kobe are nowhere close to pip and jordan, and even if they were, their supporting cast is too weak for them to have success in the west. The best thing they have helping them out is Devan freaking George.

    lotto.

Agreed. Once the superstars left, Phil bounced on 2/3 occassions (stayed after the first MJ retirement).

I watched that Lakers-Suns game last night. Absolutely NO DEFENSE from either team. Final score 122 - 112.

I'll be interested to see how Phoenix matches up against a half-court team with great defense. They're gonna play in San Antonio on the 19th. That's a game to watch.

Lakers will probably make the playoffs. Denver lost Nene for the season to an extensive injury to his knee, and Lakers are probably better than Sac and Seattle. I'd say they'll get a 5th seed.

Nene's knee just got destroyed: a torn anterior cruciate ligament, sprained medial collateral ligament and torn meniscus. Ouch.
