I suppose it would have if they printed Houston Rockets, rather than just Rockets.

Another one that pisses me off is Thibodeau's wikipedia page. It doesn't even have a Houston Rockets section for assistant coach, but it has one for the Celtics...grrr.

    someone needs to fix that.

He won't go far with this current Lakers team, it's more likely he is walking into another team that is going on the decline because of age, in a season or two he will be coaching another "retooling/rebuilding" team.

If I were Rick, I would wait till the CBA stuff got settled before I'd make a move.

Would be interesting. Pau is the perfect Big man for what he likes to run but the Lakers don't have enough shooters to really make it work.

Ron would be happy though :p

the team is most definitely going to change,

just like when Rick went to the Rockets, all the JVG players got thrown off the ship. the large amounts of ex-Knicks got replaced by ex-Kings.

Hope he doesn't go there. Bryant is old and Gasol sucks, even though JVG declared him the best big man in the NBA. That team has no chance. Orlando should take on Rick if Dwight stays. That's a much better place for him.

This. Also the fans will definitely appreciate seeing RA's R&R over the Lakers' boring ass triangle. Artest would also be jumping for joy at playing for Adelman again.

Morey LOL. It's going to be hilarious if Dwight goes to LA because of Adelman and they win a championship.

    Pathetic management.

This. Morey and Les don't know much about basketball outside of numbers. Letting Adelman go was seen as a good "financial decision" to them, basketball wise its terrible for us. Everybody in the league knows this but stubborn Rocket fans

I think the reason they're looking at more than Shaw shows management is a little tired of reaching for system players to fit the triangle. Although Adelman's offense is similar, they'll have more flexibility to go out and get players that are genuinely good as opposed to just a good fit.

Lol if this happens that would mean that everytime Phil Jackson leaves LA, he gets replaced by the previous Rocket coach.

has nothing to do with being good enough or not. it's all a matter of how well you fit

    don't think that's the case.

Idleman's teams (Queens, Blazer, Warrior) played the Lakers quite a bit. Lakers players/coaches/fan know quite a bit about Idleman's coach style. his players habitually choke against the Lakers during crunch time. that is his reputation

We know Adelman's offense like a glove. We know the cutting and the passing. It should make it easier to defend against. What LA needs is a strong SG back-up to Kobe.

Huh, let's see if Adelman can get the Lakers to learn his offense. Artest never took to his offensive schemes. I'll think they revert back to give Kobe the ball and get out of his way.

Would be fun to play against an Adelman-coached Lakers. Bring it on!

If we can, I would like to take Pau Gasol out of their hands.

I think he would fit the Lakers just fine. It would also make me hate the Lakers a little less because of the Love I have for RA.

Sorry but you are an idiot. That is your reputation.

The Kings/Lakers series were epic. If Lakers players/coaches/fans know anything about Adelman's coaching ability, they would have to think highly of him as a candidate. One of those series could have easily gone Adelman's way (it went to an overtime in game 7, infact it got to a game 7 because of some lucky calls/lucky shots for the Lakers). Yes the Kings (specifically one King, Webber) probably did choke in that overtime of game 7 but how the **** is that the fault of Rick Adelman?

I truly believe that no Phil Jackson in the league, Adelman would probably have had multiple rings. His coaching ability was that good.

I feel stupider for reading your post. Wow. Just wow.

I still can't get over how stupid your post is.

During the Lakers championship runs this decade there was a very few number of teams which actually gave the Lakers problems and pretty sure Adelman coached 3 of them (including a Rocket team which lost both of their All-Star centers during the postseason).

And you are telling me that they have a negative opinion about his coaching ability?
