Most threads don't literally make me laugh out loud but this one is awesome! Uh, to make a contribution, how bout "You can't teach height baby!! Get it done Morey!"
I would be surprise if he cracks a NBA roster this season. He needs to play overseas and test his skills and improve on it before trying a comeback in the NBA.
Seniority rules. He knows he is a rook and didn't want to take away time from the vets before him. Unlike V-Span, he knows how to be patient. He knows that you can't just come in and expect 30 minutes a game. I heard stories of Kobe demanding that Phil put in Sun Yue but Sun respectfully declined. When you're telling the star player what you want to do, you know you're good.
Okay after reading some of this thread. It is obvious the only reason people want him because he's a 6'9 pg. Anytime Pg's have height the hype meter is huge for them on this board.
It should be absolutely obvious to anyone who has seen Sun Yue play that he doesn't belong in the nba. He just doesn't have the instincts to play the game at the nba level. It's just too fast for him. I mean, he could probably school every one of us here but at the nba level, he just doesn't have it. Besides, they have 3 servicable point guards over there, no need to keep him.
rockets will be dumb not to pick this guy up.....with no yao chinese fans will still watch sun yue and the rockets if we got him. sign him for a 5 year 4 million contract. jersey sales alone will pay for that. and rockets will be the number 1 chinese-loved team in the league
Does anyone actually want this guy or is this just six pages of people sarcastically suggesting that we pick him up?
He can't play PG in the NBA. simply does not have the NBA caliber speed and handles of a PG. He needs to bulk up to play SF or improve his shooting so he can play SG...
