The announcers describe Hudson as a scorer at point guard. Not sure why we'd need him unless we got rid of some combination of Cat and Moochie and SF. Glad we didn't get Marc Jackson, he looks like a stiff, but he's playing versus Shaq, OTOH Horry made him look stupid a few times in a row.
Could Kobe try any harder to pad his stats? Jacking up threes when the game is out of hand. Calm down Kobe, plenty of seasons left to catch Jordans career 30 ppg playoff average. Troy freakin Hudson with 37 pts!
37,20,7 for KG. Da Kid became Da Man tonite for sure. Lets just hope he stays a Man for the rest of the series.
Awesome game. Some things I've noticed: - Lakers' pick and roll D was really bad. Fisher's slow and Shaq didn't like to come out. A too men game of a quick PG and a big man with shooting range really exposed this. Bibby and Divac/Webber or Parker and Duncan/Robinosn should be able to expose it even more than Hudson and Rasho. PS. Steve put his career high on them earlier in the season using this way too! - Lakers lacked ballhandlers on the backcourt. Minny's full court press worked real well. Kobe's the only good ballhandler on that team but for him bringing the ball upcourt every time would waste a lot of energy of his. - Saunders is really a great coach. From putting Peeler (rather than Wally) to guard Kobe, the full court press to the double/triple teams on Shaq and Kobe, his game plan was really sound. - Mark Madsen is probably the least talented player in the league. How this guy was able to get into the NBA is absolutely beyond me!!
I saw some of the game. I was mostly watching the Wild/Avs game. What a game. Wild won it in OT to advance to the 2nd round. Go Wild!!! Minnesota is going wild right now.
wow... these Fakers are such sore losers... 1) Horry shoves the camera man 2) D George gets into Wally's face... as Wally tries to make peace at the end of the game 3) Their rookie... don't know his name.. trash talks Troy Hudson at the end of the game god how i hate these pathetic LA Fakers... just purpetuates the stereo type that southern californians are a-holes
He's a hustle player who "overachieves". I know, it's not saying a lot, but that is supposedly why he's actually on LA's roster. Phil Jackson has put him into the lineup to show the team that playing with fire and emotion is okay to do (according to reports). I'd trade him for Moochie. No question.
I didn't see the whole game, just the second half, but that Horry "camera" issue had me wondering how many games Artest would have been suspended had he done the same thing.
There is a difference between Horry and Artest. Its not as if Horry shoved him to the ground. Artest takes the camera (HD camer!) and destroys it.
Horry didnt grab the camera and smash it on the ground, he just shoved the camera man out of his face. It was a nice shove, but nothing really bad. ...come on the guy was pissed, his team just got their A$$ kicked!!! more like Killed!
The lakers were always poor losers. If history serves, when they're losing, it's either Kobe blaming the team, Shaq blaming the team or kobe, the team blaming the refs. It seems the only time they're not complaining is when they're winning. Even when they win, they're bad winners. i.e. "Sacramento Queens". No class. K. Yakko
