Despite Blazers' stupidity and lack of rebounding, not to mention Lakers getting bogus calls, looks like the Lakers are going down...how sweet it is! Phil Jackson apparently said before the game that he saw no reason why the Lakers couldn't get to win 18 in a row, insinuating that he didn't think much of the teams they had to play on the way to getting there. Once again, his flagrant arrogance and sense of entitlement catches up with him. Good day for Rockets fans...
Good to see lakers lose! At least the Rocket's win streak will be the best this year for a little longer ( hopefully the rest of season). After losing Yao, anyhting positive will be great.
Seems like the Lakers can do no wrong in the eyes of the media outlets. I am glad they lost today because I was getting tired of a$$ kissing they were getting by the media. As for the Rockets it seems that they are doom to not make the playoffs no matter the 14-0 streak according to the experts(Jon Barry and rest of the ESPN crew). The only one I heard say the Rockets will still make the playoffs is Dee Brown on Sirus radio.
it's safe to assume they are probably going to lose a few more...they're a good team, but they're far from unbeatable.
whats lame is how the front of the nba page of yahoo it shows that the lakers streak ends and a mention of the no/utah game and that the wizards won....No mention in the main caption of the rockets running the league's longest winning streak to 14. oh well just more fuel for the fire for this team. i'll take the L by the lakers just because and L for a team above us is good. they still will probably end up with one of the top two seeds
They beat the following teams on this 10-2 run: Orlando Miami Charlotte Minnesota Atlanta Phoenix (Shaq's first game) LA Clippers Seattle Portland (no B.Roy) Miami I'm not impressed. Well, winning 10 in a row is impressive....but I don't see how beating a bunch of weak teams anoits you the best team in the Western Conference....unless you are LA....
It will interesting to see what their floor game is like when Bynum gets back. Right now they have Walton playing a lot of minutes and he's been effective for hustle plays and points. But when Bynum eats into his minutes they will have slightly better interior defense but IMO not be nearly as unstoppable on offense as they have been the past 20 games....
Saying not having Bynum is good for the Lakers is almost like saying not having Yao is good for the Rockets because he slows down the team.
YAY!!! lakers 10 game win streak finally over... now we just need spurs to lose one. maybe then we will get some attention?
Submitting comparative analysis between Bynum and Yao in any way, shape, or form within the same sentence indicates that you don't know your head from your ass with regards to NBA basketball.
Thank god, now my roommate will stop talkin trash for a while. And now we get the respect we deserve with our 14 game streak.
