Lakers aren't trading Sasha for Brooks, Hill, and Budinger. Sasha is clearly the best player in that trade. People don't see Sasha's full potential because he plays behind Kobe. Sasha Vujacic is what Penny Hardaway dreamed of being.

Yup in fact if you took LeBron off the Cleveland team from this past year and replaced him with Sasha there is no doubt in my mind that The Cavs would have won a Championship.
Vujacic is easily the third best player on the lakers roster arguably the second. if Gasol and Kobe didn't take shots away from him then maybe they would've been able to close out opponents much quicker. and Sasha was crying b/c he has heart and a passion for the game. he is the final piece to put the rockets over the top.
