Mark Williams is basically prime Clint Capela. He’ll be a 20/10 player with the Lakers.

That's not true. Wembanyama has an 8 foot wingspan. Mark Williams is at 7'6.5 - which is still really freakish, and probably 5th in the league behind Wemby (8'0), Edey (7'10), Gobert (7'9) and Clingan (7'7).

He is injury prone. Personally I think they should have just gotten Capela and kept Knecht.

MW games played since his rookie year: 43, 19, 23

Mark Williams is a beast…..Lakers with adding Doncic and this guy are legit contenders. Rockets lose twice in a week to the lowly Nets and add Jaden Springer. It appears the plan is to let all our young players gain valuable experience the next few years and then have a legit shot in 2029 ir 2030. What’s another 3-5 years when it’s been 31 years since our last Finals appearance? Good news is we’re on our way and just need patience to get there.

I don't understand how this poster still has post starting privileges.

This was in reference to @Imanimal

Trades like the Doncic trade is why the Lakers have no problem trading away young talent

Good trade for the Lakers. They didn't give even as much as it seems.

The pick swap is irrelevant because the Luka led Lakers will be better than the Hornets in 2030. He will also be in his prime in 2031 so that pick has significantly lower value than it did a week ago.

Also, while Knecht has shot the ball well, he doesn't seem like some special talent and will already be 24 at the end of this season. Williams is a 3 year player and he's still younger.

All these assets should have gone to the Mavericks.

It's mind boggling how much Dallas bent over in that deal. Lakers were handed, I mean absolutely gifted, 2 impact players.

And you best believe there will be posters asking for him again when he is available on the market. This board loves their mediocre talents.
